Africafe Instant Coffee Large Tin - 250 Grams

This coffee is as good as I remembered it from Tanzania back in the 80s. Rich flavor, dissolves easily, better than many drip coffees I've had. I echo the warning of some other commenters that it packs quite a caffeine punch. I use a just slightly rounded picnic spoonful of powder for a 6-oz mug; any more than that and I get a caffeine buzz roughly equivalent to a 16-oz Dunkin' Donuts coffee. But the light mix still gives a good rich cup.

I have been ordering this product over the internet for years from various vendors. Sometimes the product is nearing the expiration date. However, I was very pleased to see that this vendor sent me two tins that were recently processed. In other words; the coffee was fresh and it was difficult to tell the difference between Africafe instant coffee and brewed coffee. I am extremely pleased with this purchase.

This is by far my favorite coffee. Normally I would buy a whole bunch when visiting tanzania, however I was so glad to see they had them available on Amazon. Great quality! If you’re a daily coffee drinker like my self this coffee right here gets the job done! I love it!10/10

Before I left, when I was in Kilaminjaro airport, I grabbed a can of this. (250gram) and it was the best decision. So imagine my DELIGHT when I saw I could get it here on Amazon! You can't understand how amazing this coffee is. It really tastes so close to a fresh brewed Tanzanian Peaberry coffee, you will hardly see a difference. Also, every time I drink a cup it takes me back to the amazing adventure in TZ! The people, cultures, it was breathtaking. I didn't go to the coast, I was inland at Ngorngoro and then on to Ruaha and the bushland areas. Anyway, if you want a taste of TZ, this is it!!! Coffee stayed fresh for 2 years!!

I love the flavor. I bounce between Africafe and Dormans. Both taste great to me and are very convenient to make. The price is about the same as buying many domestic roasted coffees that take more effort in preparation (not counting more expensive and wasteful pods) and less robust flavor.

I first had this coffee in Tanzania and foolishly asked the proprietor what gourmet coffee they were serving us. Imagine our surprise when they said it's instant coffee and comes in a tin can. This coffee is so smooth and delightful. Price is a secondary consideration when it comes to great coffee--Africafe is it!
