Works as designed. Keeps truck cool and protected
great product, have purchased two. cover fabric does brake down in the FL heat after being up for 2.5 years. keeps my f150 cool in the fl heat. keeps oak and other tree debris off. works as designed and buying my third in 7 years. wind in fl has not been a problem for me. will take it down when hurricanes come but other than that it is up seasons. would like to see replacement covers available.

Best bang for your buck automatic car tent
Great product. First installation is critical so you know where to place it from there on out. Fits on my Toyota Tundra like a charm. The wind can take apart the elbows but they easily snap back in place. Even on windy days I leave it on because here in Miami it’s extremely hot and it helps a lot with the temperature inside the car.. almost 20 degree difference! No joke. This thing is better than paying the city for a permit for a permanent car port here in Miami $120 yearly. I’ve had this since March and it’s been amazing. No color degradation and the motor works fantastic.

A lot of haters? 5 stars
I don’t leave reviews often, but after reading all of the negatives I want to tell the truth. Obviously if your looking for a product like this you know that setup is everything. Once you find a spot you always place it to open it”suction cup on base! Then your cables won’t have to be adjusted everytime. I bought this for the hail storms in Texas. I have seen this handle so much wind my G37 almost moved. Insanely strong. If you have a light car be careful. But I use my umbrella for extreme heat and heavy storms I’ve had it for 2 years and love it I charge it every weekend. I need a second battery but I have used the 12volt charge cable in a pinch. Must have. If there are negatives it’s because they didn’t take the time to set it up correctly or it was a return someone resold as new and didn’t take care of it. Easy to use on a lower car. I have used it on my F350. It will cover most of the car. FYI there is a SM CHEAPER ONE. And this large one. I bought both to learn the hard way. Spend more get more. If you can’t get a car tent or a car cover this works in a pinch just fine and it’s worth the money

Best money I spent
I would give it 5 stars if it was truly immaculate but it is not. Cons: Does not do well with wind. Setting up in the wind you basically have a sail and if theres not two of you.... you're going for a ride. With a setup in the wind, the wind will fold the umbrella back. Just gonna have to suck it up. Wish the straps were easier to adjust so i can strap it down and then unfold the umbrella. But overall, don't use em in the wind. Suction mount for my car sucks though....i Do not really rely on that, but the straps do the job just fine without it. Pros: With reference to the wind, if it is strong enough it will rip the fabric off of the frame but they are fastened on their by a tight push/snap button thing so it doesn't damage the sheet or the frame and you can rebutton it afterwards. It really makes a difference in the heat. Just like parking your car under some tree shade. I have had this umbrella for about a year now. Love it. Idk about the damage some others have mentioned even when the wind took it, but nonetheless its fine.

The coolest car shade ever.
If you want a super neat, compact, total WOW factor car shade look no further than this one. It is very compact for how large it opens up. Suctions down onto your roof with a very firm hold. Expanding it with the remote is super cool. If you bring this to a car event it will bring a crowd around your car just for the tent, let alone how awesome your car may or may not be. :) The edges of the arms are protected with rubber so they won't damage your car if they touch it. Plenty of tie-downs around the tent to keep it attached to your car under normal conditions. It should be self-explanatory but I would not use this tent in a super high wind situation. If you live in a very high wind area I suggest getting a normal car cover with multiple tie-downs under the car chassis. However, under normal conditions this car shade rocks. And it keeps debris off the car surprisingly well.

Nice product that cannot be used with wind above 9 miles an hour or it will be destroyed.
I really like this product however there is one major problem. Wind. Any wind over 10 miles an hour you cannot use this product. It will be turned wrong side out. I ended up using 10, yes 10 bunge cords everywhere to keepThe shade from turning wrong side out at wind of 9 miles an hour. Would be perfect for the hot sun here in South Florida as I travel quite a bit and my car sits in the sun for long periods of time. You have to consistently watch it to see that the wind is not going to destroy it. If there was no wind or if the wind remained under 9 to 10 miles an hour, it would be a perfect product. It was delivered fully set up and the battery was fully charged. The suction is very good as I placed it on my sunroof glass. Very strong. But the shade itself is very flimsy like a piece of paper, too bad.

Smallest Breeze it'll snap the clips off and start rubbing the paint
At first, I loved it and I even wanted to distribute them in the Caribbean but I needed to convince myself that it was going to be a "Hit". So disappointed after I used it for the third time. The slightest breeze started to twist the plastic or aluminum arms and buttons began to unclip. I had to go upstairs to the parking lot to fix it every other hour. I even felt embarrassed knowing that neighbors were looking saying what a piece of crab this guy bought. Every time the umbrella went its way, it started to rub back and forth the paint in a way that I had to use a sealer (wax) to try to eliminate the spots.
