After a week's use I am finding these to be longer than most over the knee socks and similar in tightness to how l remember such in the 1990/2000's. They seem like they will be a good deal as fashion socks. Now, I am needing them as long geriatric socks and find them good in some ways but tighter than I really prefer. I am finding that they improve with use, just as long as I do not wear them for too many hours. I will still occasionally look for long socks with a less tight fit at the top, but meantime I can get by with these. After a couple of months I am finding these to be even more useful. I am size 9 shoe and 6ft 2. Leaving a bit of space at the toe and not pulled tight over my feet gives the socks less chance to hole at the toes. A big problem with me. Not pulling them too tight on my legs allows them to feel more comfortable on my legs while not dropping down. If these were too long for anyone, not pulling them tight might help. I have also been trying folding them so that they are below the knee and double thickness. I find that this makes them less tight and might help those who find them to be way too long. I looked to post this part as a comment on a review that only gave these one star, but the app version does not seem to allow adding comments.

My missus was moaning that she couldn’t get socks long enough to keep her legs warm when she wears a skirt (she loathed tights) so I googled my fingers raw and found these. Although my better half has very long legs, these were long enough to reach to her thighs and more crucially, kept her toasty warm, and were nice and soft against her quite sensitive skin. They weren’t so thick that she got too hot and they seem to be pretty well made too. Win - win!

These are fairly thick so nice and warm. Two notes of caution, though. First, they are very long. I'm 5'10" and they come almost to the top of my thighs, which is good for me but might be a little overwhelming if you are shorter. Second, they are quite slim bottom to top and not very stretchy width-wise. Depending on your shape, you might find them a bit tight at the top. But overall they're fine for the price.

I'm a UK size 10 occasionally a 12 and these socks are so tight around my thighs they are uncomfortable. They also look unsightly. I'm tall at 5'10" and was pleased to find thigh high socks that are actually long enough. I read most of the reviews before buying these and was very excited when they arrived. The black pair are tighter than the grey being very difficult to pull up the thigh due to the lack of stretch and tightness of the top band. It is so tight that they pretty much cut off the circulation and leave you with an unsightly thigh muffin top (something until today I was unaware I had). Making them unwearable as they had to be folded over 4 times for them to be both comfortable and not bunched up. I was very disappointed and given the reviews from others with a larger dress size. I'm unsure if the socks have changed. The socks I received are only likely to look good on those blessed with thighs no wider than their calf.

Highly recommended...stretch above and beyond the knee and stay up......lovely and warm under trousers or skirt..would buy again...absolutely love them!!!

These are great long socks. As a taller lady, I struggle. Most thigh high socks come just past my knee. But these do go to my thigh. They stay up too when I'm walking about. I tend not to wear thick tights as they come up small and fall down on me every time. So these are great. My kids love them too. A they are tall too

Maybe I am the right shape- I don’t know but I love my socks and the assorted colours are great they make the but very versatile

I rlly like them, they seem good quality and comfy!! They are way too long for me tho, im 5ft3 and they almost cover my entire legs, but the top is quite tight so they dont fit very far up my thighs. i have to roll them down but luckily its not too noticable (like in the 1st photo). They were advertised as extra long tho so thats my bad lol, they definitely are extra long!

Nach einem knappen Jahr bin ich endlich auf die Idee gekommen, diese high socks anzuziehen. Ich bin begeistert: es schneidet nichts ein-ich musste nichts abschneiden, damit ich die Strümpfe tragen kann. Ein Manko haben sie: ich bin ein sehr kleiner Mensch und mir gehen die nur ca 15 cm übers Knie. Ja, die großen Mädchen haben dann Pech gehabt-- das sind Kniestrümpfe für die größeren Girls. Endlich mal ein Vorteil, dass ich so ein Zwerg bin. Ich sage DANKE SCHÖN , Amazon.

Yo mido 1'60 y tengo buenos muslos (son mas anchos en vez de dos palos), por encima de la rodilla el muslo me mide 39-41 si subo un poco asi que imagínate (y no, no estoy gorda, peso 50kg y tengo una cintura muy pequeña porque tengo cuerpo brasilero). Estoy harta de buscar y buscar medias largas que me vayan solo un poco por encima de la rodilla sin llegar a taparme toda la pierna y muslo para que luego me ponga una falda y no se vea nada. Como he dicho, son demasiado largas, me llegaron a ocupar la pierna ENTERA y encima aprietan haciendo que se note que están apretadas.
