Amazing quality for the price, sound plays really well, it’s incredibly easy to set up and adjust the volume. I’ve had them for months now and still working perfectly.

I am not an audiophile by any means but I understand sound quality and I understand what can/cannot be achieved based on the physical size of a speaker. Our house has 6 SONOS speakers, I have Bose QC Buds and Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones because I appreciate decent sound. I needed some speakers to sit on a small desk, they needed to be quickly switchable between my MacBook and my work issued Windows Dell laptop. They had to sound good. I came across these when Googling PC Speakers and for the price I thought I would give them a shot, after all I can always send them back. Found them with a 25% off promo here on Amazon. Took a few mins to discover that they would not connect to both USB and 3.5mm at the same time *USB us for power and if connected to a computer, that device is the one the speakers work with at which point the 3.5mm becomes redundant. You can only use the 3.5mm is the speakers are powered by USB from a plug (not a device that will see them as speakers) hope this makes sense. Som that was an instant fail. To cut a long story short, I ended up connecting both laptops via Bluetooth and it works a treat. Easy to switch between devices and so far no goggles in doing so. How do these sound? - In a word, superb. I read lots of negative comments about no bass but realistically speaking, the bass is actually very good. The thing to note about bass on a small speaker is that quality is very much dependant on the truck you are listening to. Small speakers cannot reproduce sub-bass so forget that, if you are used to listening to a track that has a lot of sub bass, that sound will simply not be there so the track will sound awful. These speakers are not for Hip-Hop, EDM, Techno or other dance genre's. It is not the fault of the speaker. No small speaker can help you here. However, bass at different frequencies can be reproduced really well. Particularly guitar based music, Jazz, Electronica. Anyhoo, the stereo separation is actually very good, the amount of times I have forgot what I was doing work wise because I got drawn in to some crazy stereo effect is testament to that. These simply sound good, very entertaining and way better than expected. I have various tracks I listen to when I get new speakers or headphones, each of them when tested sounded way better than I had hoped or expected. Primal Scream - Free (from the Memphis recordings) - Excellent Eagles - Hotel California (Live MTV) - Excellent RATM - Take the Power Back - Excellent Amber Rubarth - Strive (Binaural) - Excellent Bjork - Hunter - Poor (too much bass for the v3 to handle) BADBADNOTGOOD - Speaking Gently - Excellent Common - Heat - Poor (too much bass for the v3 to handle) Daft Punk - Get Lucky - Incredible, including great bass reproduction (much be the right frequency) Art Blakey - Moaning - Superb Creedence Clearwater Revival - Suzie Q - Stereo imaging is amazing on this track Like these tracks or not, they are great for testing speakers or headphones. So to summarise, these are great speakers with the caveat that you need to be sensible in your expectations. No they won't reproduce sub bass notes, no small speaker can or ever will. Everything else, sounds really good 5* especially at this price Hope this helps

Given that these are only a fraction of the price of other models of a similar size, they are great sounding speakers, but they are not going to blow you away. They are not up to Sonos or Google Home or Alexa quality but that's to be expected. They are a definite step up from my Dell laptop's integrated speakers or my Mac Mini's internal speaker. Music sounds good even at higher volumes and can fill a small room. The lower bass frequencies are missing, not muddy or distorted or anything like that, but just not there. Podcasts and spoken word sound great. The connectivity options are good with only a singe cable needed for both power and audio. Using the USB-C connector to my dock wouldn't get the higher gain output (blue light is high gain, green is regular) but using the included adapter and plugging into a USB-A port worked just fine. This is the opposite of what they suggest in their manual but it works for me. There is a noticeable difference between the regular and higher gain modes with the latter having a bit more oomph. Bluetooth works well and switching between my Mac on USB and my laptop on Bluetooth is just one physical button press. I do need to keep the Mac on for power but it is usually on anyway. I did try the 3.5mm input but got a strange ghosting sound as if there was a slight delay between the speakers. This could have been the cable at fault as it was a very old cable I tried and I didn't have another at hand. They aren't really that portable so work best as static desk speakers. I could see them getting damaged easily in a bag and they have no battery for wireless bluetooth on the go. I'm happy with them. They are good enough for what I need right now, and for the price it's hard to complain.
