This mount is actually pretty good. The only "issue" I've experienced was if you slacken off the knobs too much then the metal grips can pop out. They're not hard to put back in but it's a little annoying. If you refrain from slackening too much this will not happen to you. The desk grip holds really well and the articulation of the arm is impressive and stays in place.

This is very solidly built and does hold the phone very easily but it’s fundamental flaw seems to be in how many connections it has and how it seems to be impossible to make the whole thing feel secure. I’ve been using it for months now and it hasn’t failed but I’ve also never been able to stop it wobbling on its base, or some other joint somewhere in the chain. Each joint seems to add a little play such that by the time you reach the phone the whole thing just wobbles and rattles if you touch it. Ultimately it will bear the weight of the phone easily (a little too easily maybe, it could probably be lighter overall) but I’ve never really been happy with it as it just doesn’t feel solid.

Really well made and designed. A solid fully metal, well constructed piece of kit. There's no position you are unable to achieve.

I'm a drummer and film a lot of my drumming for teaching and social media, this arm holds my camera or other items with strength and precision, been looking for something like this for years, now I have an awesome piece of hardware that can be positioned out of the way when not in use highly recommend.

This is perfect, attaches to my camera perfectly, I can get all of the angles I need, well built, strong, sturdy, feels like a quality piece of equipment

what can i say that has not already been said by my fellow 1 star review givers i agreed and double all that's been said this item is not made well at its base its a good idea and its firm on some part but this is only when you have it holding noting at all you'll play around with it and say yeah this is neat but no sadly its not made well enough to hold a dlsr or mirrorless well at all i wanted something i could clamp to a desk and stay stil to records a certain shot instead this is only going to get worse far as usability goes

This Item has a pretty good construction and high quality materials however the unit I received had a small defect on the vise's pad although it wasn't an issue at all since I contacted Tarion customer service and they quickly & proactively solved it, I received a replacement confirmation within hours after I started the interaction with its agent. Highly recommended!!
