On my oe rotors and pads the pads didn't quite go as deep into the caliper so some of the brake pad was on the outside edge of the rotors and would make noise. The rotors are exactly the same size that I took off my 99 LX470 and all the brake pad rides on the surface of the rotors. I also taped off the rotor braking surface and painted the rotors with caliper paint so I don't know if they are going to rust quickly or not but I didn't want to chance it.
