very effective and works way better than the fiber gummy vitamins I have tried in the past. I decided to try them going low and slow and ive been taking 3 capsules/ once a day. The bottle recommends that dosage 2-3 times a day. With going once a day the effect was not tremendous but I did see improvement in my regularity. Now after about a week or two, i feel less bloated,my constipation is gone and bowel movements are a breeze. Highly recommend as a fiber supplement.

I'm very pleased with these Psyllium Hisk Capsules. They are so much easier to take than powder and they really work! I don't take but 2 capsules in the evening with a large glass of water and they are keeping me regular! Everything I ever get from NOW products amazing.

These work for their intended purpose and are much more affordable than many competing brands. I experienced bloating and stomach cramping at first, but both subsided after one to two weeks. Had to take them on a consistent basis otherwise the bloating/cramping came back. I also make sure to take other medications/vitamins 2-3 hours before or after since they can affect absorption.

Great fiber supplement

Worth doing the arithmetic before you buy this. A serving for me is seven capsules, which makes a 500 count bottle about seventy servings; if you were taking it daily that's ten weeks or so, not the year that the number on the front of the bottle suggests. I take it once or twice a week, so a bottle lasts me somewhere around eighteen months. Across three bottles bought over about four years the capsules have been consistent. None of them split or stuck together, there was no loose powder sitting in the bottom, and nothing changed between bottles that I noticed. I've never tried the powder and don't intend to. The whole appeal of a capsule is that there's no flavor, no texture, and no chance of catching a lungful of psyllium dust while you're stirring it into something. You pay for that convenience in how many you have to swallow, and for me that's a fair trade.

These are fine, insofar as they contain pure psyllium husk fiber, which is what I want. My issue is that the dosage is completely different than the psyllium powder that I normally take. The dosage for the capsules is three capsules, 2-3 times a day, which is 3.9 grams of total fiber. The powdered variety on the other hand is 24 grams of total fiber, if you take it three times a day (one tablespoon per dose). Taking the capsules, in the recommended amount, does absolutely nothing for me, and is a total waste. I guess it might be easier for some to travel with, but the fact that I would have to take so many capsules to equal the powder makes this product worthless to me.
