This little machine has been a absolute blessing for my elderly mom who has arthritis and takes about 8 different medications daily. Before this, she was struggling with those manual pill crushers that required so much grip strength – half the time the pills would go flying across the counter! The cordless design is genius. No more being tethered to an outlet, and the battery lasts forever (seriously, we’ve been using it for weeks on one charge). Just drop the pills in, press down, and in seconds you have perfect powder. The double cover design keeps everything contained – no more chasing pill bits around the kitchen. What really impressed me is how it handles different sized pills. Her huge calcium tablets crush just as easily as her tiny heart medication. The removable cup makes it super easy to pour the powder directly into applesauce or yogurt, and cleanup is a breeze under the faucet. The one-button operation is foolproof, which is perfect for someone with limited dexterity. You can control how fine you want the powder by how long you press – brilliant design choice. Honestly wish we’d found this years ago. It’s turned a daily struggle into something quick and easy. Worth every cent for the independence and dignity it gives back.

I bought this to crush my daily meds. One pill is very small and the other about the size of a Tylenol. Both were crushed sufficiently in one to two 1 second pulses and if you want it finer you can absolutly grind to dust if you’re not careful. My only issue is that, even with one pulse, it scatters so much, and the unit is so big, that I ended up losing about 1/8 of the pill to dust. This was even with the time taken to use a small eyeshadow brush to gather the particles. Which in itself makes this time very consuming. If it was about 8 times smaller it would be perfect as a pill crusher. However, it is a great little machine for grinding nuts, herbs, etc. very powerful and sturdy. Just not really right as a pill crusher as you lose medication in the process. I used the little hand held crusher and this to compare and a good amount difference

This product only worked once the first use and after that you have to try repeatedly to get it to maybe work. Don’t buy! I just got it and they are saying it can’t be returned or refunded.

A very convenient and powerful device for crushing pills. It works quickly, turning tablets into fine powder in just a few seconds. Charges via USB, which is very handy, especially for travel. The container is spacious and easy to clean. The only minor drawback is the noise during operation, but it's not a big issue. Overall, a great gadget for those who need to crush medication regularly.

Solid and works better than small manual ones

2nd Edit: I have had 3 of these grinders now. One quit, but the other two are going strong. I run them side-by-side to do my 28 literal horse pills/day. I load each with about 30 pills, flip them both, then return them to upright as they grind. After the first grind done that way, I keep them upright and run them 3 to 4 more times for a super fine grind. The dual-lid design leaks way less than other grinders I've tried, but I did notice that I can't switch the two inner caps - they fit snuggly to the unit they came with but can't be interchanged. I try to finish my final grind a few hours before I need the powder so it can settle in the units. I still hold my breath though when I dump them into my dispensing container. Overall, I am happier with these than with any other grinder units I've used for these horse pills in the last 10 years. Edit: After 8 months of pretty heavy use, it has quit grinding. The battery is charged and motor seems fine, but even with a thorough cleaning, I can't get it to turn on without a huge amount of convincing. It does sometimes run briefly if I twist and turn the lid in just the right way, so I know it's not the battery or motor but rather the on/off mechanism. My guess is that all the flying dust got down in the mechanism, but no amount of cleaning is clearing it. I have a 2nd one of the same model which is still working, but for whatever reason, it's motor is not as strong, so I have to run it twice as many times to get the same grind. Still better than the other choices out there? Probably. Why no one can make a leak-free grinder is a bit baffling. Original: I grind 84 horse pills every 3 days, and it can do them all in one shot, but it does take some tricks I learned from other reviewers here (thank you!). I put the pills in, put the lids on, then flip it over and slowly turn it back upright as the pills begin to hit the spinning blade. I turn it very slowly, listening to it grind, and turning more when it is hitting less pills. It rarely jams if I am careful. I do have to run it a few times (it turns off automatically after 20 seconds so as not to overheat), so I just leave it on the counter and run it again, using the same tip and turn technique, til I can no longer hear pill chunks in there. It produces a nice powder of all those pills which I then measure out in doses with a tablespoon. (2 horses, 7 pills twice a day). This little grinder has saved our arms from manual grinding and works far better than any other grinder I've tried. However, it does leak. I am going to try the camera lens sheet trick to see if that solves that issue. Because I am grinding in high volume, and the medication is reasonably innocuous, the leaking isn't a big problem, I just wipe it and the counter afterwards. I do have to turn the outer lid a bit sometimes to get it to start grinding due to powder sitting between the lid and grinder. But it leaks far less than any other grinder I've tried. I've had it for 4 months, and it is holding up to what I would consider heavy use. Only potential issue is that after recharging, it quickly drops to 50% charge but then hovers there for many runs. I like it well enough that I am ordering a 2nd one for backup.

I have been using this for a week now and the inner lid leaks badly. I have read the other reviews and obviously the manufacturer knows about this problem and has been, and will probably continue to be, unresponsive. I liked the idea of using lens paper under the inner lid to seal it and will try it. Kudos to the reviewer who suggested it. I'll try it and see how it works. I tried lint free, lens tissue for cleaning a camera lens. It was perfect. Because of the composition of the tissue, the ground-up medications didn't stick to it. There was a small tear where a pill had been catapulted into the inner lid that allowed some powder to escape and stick to the underside of the inner lid, but there was very little and easily brushed away. This tissue paper trick probably saved me several minutes of clean-up time. It's been several months since I purchased this grinder. It has taken that long before it needed recharging. The lend paper trick works and I'm so happy with the product I just purchased another one as a gift. I highly recommend this grinder, just buy some lens cleaner tissues for the leaky lid!

Items was send back before deadline (7th Nov), but till now no news of refund

Had tried so many different pill crushers before but they all needed sii up per human strength to operate.This crusher is senior friendly , plus reasonably priced

I was worried because of the negative comments, but I like it very much, I put 60 tablet of nifedipine which has a hard shell, and it took mostly 60 seconds to be fine coarse, I stopped every 20 sec so it doesn't overheat, it's easy, the brush for cleaning is a great addition and the cup can be washed, no powder leakage, just let the dust settle. It works with batteries but I didn't test the duration. for now, this is my first use, it worth the price.
