Replacement Temp sensor for Samsung, French Door, refrigerator
This replacement Temp sensor for Samsung refrigerator, appears to be a direct replacement part. I just replaced this sensor as I was adding a fridge defroster kit. it is working so far, so good! But only time will tell if it works properly at maintaining the fridge temps and defrosting time.The electrical connection fits good into the wall socket and basket lock. The sensor is the same size as the original was, and fits into it's little plastic locking clip. If you already have the fridge defrosted and the cover plate off, the sensor replacement takes about 5 minutes to complete! The price was affordable and fast Prime shipping. I recommend getting this part (& the add on heater kit!) if your janky Samsung fridge keeps freezing up.

Best inexpensive part
Great inexpensive part. My refrigerator went out when we had a power failure, thought I was going to have to replace it...my husband found the part that was bad we replaced it for $9.97 and the refrigerator works great. Best money is ever spent.

Sensor failed after 2 months
Worked great for 2 months and then I started to see ice buildup again. Checked for codes and got the 5E error code for failed temperature sensor. Emailed the seller to get a replacement under there 2-year warranty and was told to send in the sensor to verify it was bad and then they would send another. I bought another sensor from a different seller and installed, fridge is back working and hopefully this one lasts longer.

fixed our cooling issue
This sensor was a total lifesaver and fixed our fridge's wildly unpredictable cooling issues in less than twenty minutes. The connector clicked perfectly into the OEM wiring harness without any tweaking, and the wire length was identical to the original factory part. Within a few hours of installation, the internal temperature stabilized right back down to a rock-solid 37°F, saving us from having to call an overpriced repair tech or buy a whole new unit.
