When it comes to modifying an EV, there’s an endless amount of possibilities. Unfortunately, all of these modifications require a power supply which is where it is tapped into the teslas 12/16V. Too much of a load could cause a low voltage battery warning or cause the Tesla to force into sleep mode (bricking the Tesla if the voltage goes below the safety amount). There’s where this wire for a great price comes into play. You place your external battery in the trunk and run wires to the front and then all of your modifications will be off grind. Tesla could no longer blame you for all your error codes because of overloading the LV battery.

I like this wire so far. I bought it for wiring up a solar array, and have had very few issues. The wire itself is very flexible, and extremely easy to handle. My only concern is colder temps and how it will handle that. One star lost for packaging and damage to spools.

I thought the product would be of lesser quality but i was pleasantly surprised of the quality of the product plus it saved me money.

I use the 10 ga CCA for anything from solar panel extension cables or within small 12/24VDC PTP circuits and it's worked well for me. Insulation stands up pretty well under AZ sun and heat.

Cons: I am very disappointed that it was not obviously advertised as non-UV resistant casing that could be outside. I bought this product to wire solar panels to a cabin and the weather is taking its toll. The red is already pink after 3 months and quickly turning white in color (casing). Pro: The wire has performed fabulously! I was not ready to bury the cables at this point but will in the future (which would alleviate the color change). I would recommend this wire assuming you will ensure it is out of the elements.

I was worried that the cable might not be flexible but I was pleasantly surprised. It seems like good quality and good bang for your buck.
