Is this product really as good as advertised?

Sorta. It cleans really, really well! Unfortunately, I found each disc lasted between 5-7 days, not 4 weeks. I won't buy it again because of that. Even though it works well, because it disappears so quickly, it ends up being really, reaally expensive.

Does it damage the rubber gaskets?

yes, shortens life of rubber but more importantly makes the whole bathroom smell like chlorine! Not recommended unless you like that smell.

Can I still use regular toilet bowl cleaner with bleach to scrub the inside of the toilet bowl while using a drop-in?

No. It can cause caustic fumes. Bleach can also wear out parts in the tank so don’t use it in there, either. Just be safe and don’t use bleach in toilet at all. There are plenty of other cleanser’s for this purpose.

Does this product remove stains from iron in the water?
