Yes, and you can also put one end around a tube, through a loop and use it to attach tie downs. Works great in the back of my SUV to secure a dog crate!

Not sure exactly how you plan to hang them. They may not be long enough to wrap around the joist depending on its size. But hanging 200 lbs. shouldn't be an issue.
