The bottom of the pictured adapter fits on the mx6 and the top end fits a regular pool vacuum hose. **Q: Does the valve cuff screw into the skimmer hole? Mine justs sits on top** A: No it doesn't screw in. Just pushes and and the suction keeps it in place for the most part. **Q: Is there an adapter available for a hayword inlet?** A: All swimming pools I know of have a pool suction opening that will accept the light blue male connection on the X77094 Adaptor. And most cleaners I know of use the same connection for their hoses. The only unique hose is needed to connect from hose to cleaner, and the cleaner manufactures provide that also. So my understanding of your question leads me to think you don’t need an adaptor. Since Zodiac has a proprietary hose connection system (the dark blue female connection on the X77094) I bought the X77094 Adaptor so I could use my Hayward hoses with my new Zodiac cleaner. If this doesn’t help maybe you describe what adaptation you want make. **Q: Do they make an adapter that goes to the “cleaner” side of the leaf canister, that then hooks to regular pool hose?** A: Yes, they make both adapters. This new one has a more accordion like design . Have to wait to see how long it will last but I needed it as the other cracked where you connect it to the other tubing that all connects to the cleaning apparatus . So far so good. I ordered this because I couldn’t find the same suction apparatus that I used before.
