Great mat for new and advanced yogis
My hands sweat like crazy throughout all my yoga practices and its been a real struggle for me to find a yoga mat that prevented me from slipping. I have a Manduka Eko Light that I've been using for the past 3 years, but my hands still slipped like crazy on it. Got a Manduka yogi toes towel, which sorta helped, but then my feet were slipping everywhere! So I figured I'd try something else in fear of slipping and hurting myself.I've used this mat for several practices thus far and I am blown away by how sticky it is! Finally my hands can get as sweaty as they want, and I'm no longer worried about falling out of poses. Really nice padding thickness, and feels nice beneath the feet.My only piece of advice: When I first got it, I decided to roll the mat in on it self after each class and leave it stationary like that in my bag. DO NOT DO THIS! Only roll this mat with the top side facing at you. Doing it the other way caused creases because of the thin polyurethane top. While I've been able to reduce them by folding it the right way, its a shame I did it in the first place just to make it easy when rolling out. But don't make my mistake!Overall, highly recommended for anyone who's looking looking to stick to yoga for a while and wants a nice mat that won't let them slip.

Great product
I love how stinky this mat is during class! I do hot yoga and I am dripping sweat all class but I am able to keep my grip! Only down fall which may be fault due to the color I picked but after every class everyone has a good laugh at the fact there is a perfect sweat body still laying on the mat once I get up. I am guessing it's just how the material holds the moisture and that is what makes you not slip but I would say maybe go with the black mat so your can't see that as much and I do then lay my mat out at home over night so it's dries out! Overall though great mat if you want to be able to stick to your mat during class

Not the best
This mat is hard & thin so it does not provide padding for supine poses or knees. It's very heavy but that didn't really bother me. A bit of a pain carrying all weekend at yoga retreat. The surface has easily been marred after owning it only a couple months. It doesn't roll easily so it gets wrinkles where it folds. The cat scratched it too, which is my fault but the cat never scratches the other mats so makes me think it just has a delicate surface. The grip is fine, the color is nice. I'm going to offload this to someone who does not have a mat. I'm a yoga teacher & an avid yogi. This might be okay if you're practicing at home on carpet!

Life Saver!
This is by far the best yoga mat I've ever used! I have arthritis in most of my joints and I'm in pain most of the time. I try to do yoga often to relax and ease the pain. Every mat I've tried has been a challenge because I slip on it. With this Vikuta Mat it's like it holds me in place and I can easily do the moves to help my body feel better. The thickness is perfect! With my condition sometimes I don't feel super stable, but with how this mat grips I am comfortable and confident in doing any move. I LOVE how it's helped me enjoy doing yoga again!!

Nice mat
Used my mat for the first time today. The only negative thing I would say about it is that's it's heavier than I expected. I love the color and feel of it. Will try it in hot yoga and see how it does.

Legit Mat, Best I've had
I'm fairly new to the game and have never owned a really nice mat but have owned some 20 dollar mats using yoga towels. But this mat seems as legit as they come. Really sticky, easy to wipe down, thick and dense, so pretty heavy for a mat, but the weight doesnt mean anything, im not hiking with it. Good padding for my knees. Anyhow, I think I have the best mat in my class by far. As far as longevity, idk as ive only used this for 3 classes so far. I will update this review if it doesn't hold up. Great value, better than paying 80+ bucks for the competitor mats. Extremely pleased with my purchase.

This Mat Works for Me
Very pleased with the Vikuta Yoga Mat! It's definitely sticky which was key for me since my hands and feet were slipping on the cheap-o mat I'd been using (even with a yoga towel over it). In addition to being sticky, the Vikuta mat is dense which makes it firm; but it's still cushiony without being squishy. The combination of density and stickiness provides the traction and stablility I need for balancing and strength poses but there's also enough give to make kneeling and resting poses comfortable. I've only used it for several practices so I don't know how it will hold up over time, but it's ticking all the right boxes so far. I don't do hot yoga, so I can't speak to how the mat responds in that environment.Note: It feels a little awkward initially to roll the mat with the "up" side facing out, but that's the best way to do it.
