Will the pee sipped to the bottom, how do you pour it into a cup w/o litter falli** A: The idea isn't to put all six of these into the litter pan at once. The vet will normally sell you one and you sprinkle it on the bottom of the pan. You are just fooling the cat into thinking they are standing on normal litter. You would normally use a syringe to draw the urine up from the pan, or you would pour urine and the fake litter back into the cup that the litter comes in. **Q: Can I wash off the granules after collecting the urine sample, in order to reuse it?** A: I have not found any instructions as to whether it can or cannot be washed, but having a diabetic cat and needing to do frequent testing of the urine, I do wash the litter. I just use a couple of drops of dish detergent, wash and rinse well, then let the litter dry. Hope this helps. **Q: Conflicting answers at vets office. It's not always possible to collect a sample the same day as the appointment. The evening prior to the appointment is fine provisionally that the sample is stored correctly. If using a syringe - cap it and bag it in a ziplock bag. If using the Nosorb - put the lid on tightly. You can put it into a ziplock bag for extra protection in case it spills. That's what I do. I bag and tag it with date and time of the collection of the sample, and write the cat's name on it. My vet suggested using a certain type of bean which never worked at all because my cat hated stepping on the beans! No Sorb is a Great item, easy to use & the cat doesn't mind stepping on it!! The urine easily drains from the plastic pellets. The only thing I would recommend is using 2 containers of No Sorb for a large cat. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This absolutely works !!!! *by A***. on February 16, 2024* I used this product to collect a urine sample from my cat at my vets request. This worked immediately. My cat was so sick from a UTI infection, the vet was unable to draw a sample and provided me with this product. I replaced the litter with these beads and in the same day my cat used it , I was able to push the beads back, tip the litter box up and use a syringe to suck up the urine and place it in the empty container and run it to my vet for analysis. So easy and no pain for my cat. For Cats this is a miracle product, thank you to whom ever developed it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As a vet tech, NoSorb is the gold standard *by G***N on January 4, 2020* As a vet tech, I can tell you that this is the product I have always used in every Clinic in which I have worked. When you cannot express your kitty or get a cystocentesis at the Clinic but you need urine collection, all you have to do is fill a clean litter box with one little container of NoSorb and wait for your kitty to urinate. Of course you will have to isolate your kitty if living in a multi-cat household. The little pellets will not absorb (thus NoSorb) the urine, but they will give our kitty a way to feel like he/she is burying the urine. Then you can go in with your sterile syringe and cup from your Clinic ro even use the very container from the NoSorb you just emptied into the box, to collect the urine that has pooled in the box around the NoSorb pellets to take into your Clinic. Super easy and non-invasive as compared to a cysto, bladder expression or even attempting to put a cup under your kitty while he/she is peeing (way easier with a dog...) and more natural than trying to get your kitty to pee on a plastic wrap covered litter box, as he/she will not worry about getting paws wet and be able to use the NoSorb to cover the urine.
