Second Purchase of Valuable Multi-Effects Processor
I toasted my original unit (by accidentally plugging in the wrong power source) and ordered a new one right away. I have three pedal boards with high end pedals. For convenience, when I simply want to plug in and play with headphones - this is so handy I canโt recommend it enough. It has a every kind of distortion you would want, a very nice clean patch, good reverb, and good modulation effects. The presets are useful as are the tone and gain knobs. In essence, when you want to enjoy some playing time without all of the hardware and amplifier rigging - this keeps it simple and provides hours of personal guitar - or bass playing pleasure!

Highly recommended for beginners, nice sounds, tons of features for the money.
First things first, this is not a serious piece of gear for an experienced player. It's for beginners, but that doesn't mean it can't be fun for $30. A beginner on a budget can get a lot of sounds out of this, and it's great for practicing while wearing headphones... no amp needed! It's fairly intuitive to learn to operate, which is good because it comes without any instructions. Plug in the power supply (or 2 AAA batteries) then plug in your guitar and start playing. I'll start with the MOD (modulation) effects (chorus, flanger, phaser, tremolo) which all work surprisingly well and have a decent range of adjustments in sweep rate. the chorus (CH) is just ok, but the flanger (FL) and phaser (PH) sound great, especially on the slowest sweeps. the trem (TR) isn't my style, but it was huge in the 60s if you play those oldies, and it sounds good here. Now the ambient (DLY/REV) effects (delay, echo, room & hall reverb) which are ok. the delay sounds a bit too artificial for me, the echo is a little better. the hall reverb (knob pegged) adds a big, full depth to the sound. Nice. There is a TONE knob, basically a single-band eq. It works. The DRIVE and GAIN knobs work together. The DRIVE knob has 6 settings (roughly in ascending order of aggressiveness): CL (clean), OD (overdrive), DS (distortion) CR (crunch), FZ (fuzz), and MT (metal). All sound very different and offer a wide range of tones. I've never been a fan of fuzz distortion, but this one is surprisingly smooth and rich. It's really fun! All these setting work with the GAIN knob, which sweeps from clean to very heavy gain, increasing the level of distortion. There is also a tiny overlooked button to the left of the power, called "cab. sim." which shapes the sound to mimic a speaker cabinet. Use it. It would be nice if it had several options, but not at this price. The VOL is not a knob, but a tiny wheel embedded near the Power and Cab Sim switches on the top side of the device. I couldn't find it immediately and it's awkward to adjust, but that's a minor issue. The built-in drum machine has 40 preset patterns, some of which serve as a metronome, my sole reason for buying this in the first place. Great for home practice. Press and hold to activate the TUNER, which is very handy and works fine. The body is molded plastic, but that's ok since this has a belt clip and isn't a stomp pedal. I can't vouch for the ruggedness of it, but it doesn't feel too flimsy. Of course this is no $1200 Line6 Helix but still has loads of great sounds and options. It's worth it to me for the drum machine and metronome alone. Anyone buying a first guitar for themselves or as a gift should strongly consider including this fun gadget. And parents, you'll love the fact that your little future rock star can play until their eardrums bleed without deafening the neighbors :) Recommended.

Not great
I bought this, the effect are so so like youโd expect. Itโs ok for practice purposes but the problem imo is itโs not loud enough. You can plug a mp3 player into it and play along but the volume on guitar and the audio barely loud enough to make it usable. I donโt recommend it and should have returned for a better unit

Absolutely outstanding!
Great tone for a small price. The chorus effect is beautiful with the clean tone. The distortion ranges from slight bluesy to extreme metal mayhem. The reverb sim includes a vintage spring effect. This plus a small powered speaker with a 1/8 input and you have a little amp. Great!

It has many settings
It has hundreds of different settings even a drum setting! It can run on batteries and a outlet. You can also use headphones. The only con about this item is it sometimes turnes off automaticly.

So fun
This little guy is so fun to play with. If youโre expecting studio quality then this isnโt for you but you can get some good tones from it especially with an added distortion pedal

Probably the best pedal for new guitar players.
It gives you a variety of different effects and types of overdrive and distortion so itโs a very good sample pack for you. Guitar players in the drum machine is handy and easy to use. Being able to run it off to AAA batteries and use headphones, very handy as a practising Of course, tone is subjective, but I think the effects are pretty good are the overdrive and distortion or surprisingly good for a digital pedal.

A pleasant surprise!
I have had a variety of multi effects pedals over the years. Boss, Digitech, Zoom. I bot this because "what the heck" and it's under 45 Cdn. I don't care so much for the presets with the exception of about 4 that suit me very well. BUT!! This thing has put an end to my search for a FUZZ PEDAL. I don't like distortion, at which this pedal also exceeds, but I'm crazy bout fuzz. It has fuzz tones that go beyond fuzz, into the buzz zone. I have in my collection, 3 other, well known brands of fuzz specific pedals. Junk. They produce heavy duty distortion but exactly zero fuzz. I had given up! But I be smilin' now. Another thing, this little pedal is really simple to use. It's basic.
