Great addition
The product is as described.....works great and is a real good addition to my leatherworking tools.....I started doing my own leather products and knife sheaths for the knives I make. This will shorten the time on stitching.

Heck of a nice product. I'm not much of a seamstress
Heck of a nice product. I'm not much of a seamstress, but I got the youtube video out and learned how to do this and it was very easy. I even got my wife up to speed so there's another task that's been delegated....shop tent repair. She has no problem with it and that's fine with me...shes' a great lady and I know it. I'd buy this again, but only if I had a second wife and that probably isn't going to happen. Really, this is a nicely built hand tool and could be used for many things that need sewing repairs. It worked great to sew new buckles mounted to webbing back on on shop door.

Good Starter Tool
This is a good kit. I'm learning about sewing webbing straps for light duty applications and it's a good tool.

Hundred year old technology properly implemented. It just works.
This is OLD technology - I have been using similar tools for over 60 years and some of those were forty years older than I am. I had/have a project that needs a "Stitch Awl", I couldn't find mine, and I purchased a "Name Brand" item. It arrived and in less than an hour I was on line ordering the Co-link product. The "Name Brand" item was not usable. The Co-Link arrived two days later (Amazon Prime!) and I have been stitching away since then. I can not gush over the technology - it was perfected a century ago. Co-link implemented the very functional technology in a very functional manner. The needle fits in the holder and can be easily clamped in place. Sounds easy - but a well known brand name botched it. Thank You! Co-link for not being inventive! Your product does just what has worked well for a long time. "If it ai'nt broke, Don't Break It!" The Co-link product ain't broke!

No needles provided.
"Professional Speedy Stitcher Sewing Awl Hand Stitcher Repair Tool Kit for leather and heavy fabrics with 2 Pack Needles, additional coil and yarn/threads" was the advertisement. I'd love to use the product but since no needles were included, I've been looking for any reference telling me what to order since the vendor did not provide the "2 Pack Needles". The package includes absolutely no 'parts reference' so if this breaks or has any issues you'll have to spend another $20 or so to replace it. It also implies "additional coil". I'm assuming the one included is the "additional" coil.

Do it yourself leather repair
This worked very well I bought it to patch a spot on the seat in my vehicle. I have leather seats and it saved me a bunch of money as they wanted almost $280 to replace the seat cover.

Not worth it
i purchased this last year but had to have open heart surgery.... When I took it out last week to repair my rear soft top window I couldn't get it to work. The needle wouldn't stay in the handle and the thread would stick because the hole wasn't drilled properly... overall poor workmanship and cheaply made....

Order more thread and also get a smaller needle in case you are not using it in very heavy cavas or leather.
So easy to use and so helpful. My very expensive mechanized owning started to rip because they use cheap thread that rot in a couple of years. I decided to try repairing it myself. I have never sewed anything before, but this little tool with patience allowed me to complete the job in a couple of hours and save over $500 dollars that would have cost me to replace the canvas. Just make sure you order additional thread when you purchase it. The amount I got was good for about 2 yards length. I had to wait for more thread before I completed the job.

I had one of these in my younger years and lost it. Can make all sorts of leather products with this awl. Sturdy and lasts a long time. Happy.
