Tamiya 32589 1/48 German Tank Destroyer Elefant Plastic Model Kit

Pros= Simple construction, perfect parts fit, no discernable flash, A 1 kit engineering, zero mold lines, zero sink holes, interesting subject, up-detail parts available, OK OK you get the idea...it's a great kit. Cons= My hull wieghts rattled a bit so I ran a bead of silicone glue along the wieghts to secure them to their mounts. Problem solved. Construction note; I found that the key to installing the tracks, while avoiding pulling my hair out in clumps, was to use small pieces of tape to stop the big drive sprockets from rotating. When I needed to move the tracks I simply loosened the tape. Also I made no attempt to allow the tracks to move when fully assembled. As a result track assembly was easy.

Solid kit. Not Tamiya’s best but goes together well and looks great finished. Transfer sheet is lacking, but not a big deal if you’re into historical accuracy. Also comes with a great commander model that can be used for this tank or saved for others. Not sure why everyone on here is complaining about the tracks, they’re the same as every Tamiya kit in this scale. Much better than rubber tracks IMO.

Came faster than expected..

This was a Christmas gift for our son. He was really pleased and we were very pleased with their fast response as it was days before Christmas.

You know, it’s quite ironic that a tank known for its medhaninical issues and horrible production has one big flaw in its model design. Whomst on this god given earth thought it would be a good ideas to have individual tread peices you had to assemble yourself, know I could understand just one tread at a time IF THEY COULD SNAP TOGETHER, but why does this kit include seperate chunks of tread that you have to assemble yourself. Why not the rubbertreads that almost every other model uses. Who would do this

Aunque un poco simplificada, al ser una escala "pequeña" se monta con facilidad, todo encaja sin problema y es desestresante en comparación con otras como ICM, Kinetick, revell Además creo que su línea en 1/48 es prácticamente única

戦闘室は一発抜きではなく、箱組みになっています。 なので車体側面のディーティールがキッチリ出ていて エレファント特有のゴツゴツ感がよく再現されています。 足回りも組みやすいのですが、前後共に起動輪なので、 前後を間違えない様に注意しなければいけません。 美しくカーブを描くべき上側の履帯は三分割になって いますので、つなぎ目でカクカクしない様に、注意深く 連結して下さい。 中央の履帯パーツを力ずくで曲げて「緩いカーブ」を 描くようにしてやるといいでしょう。
