I use it every month or so in my kitchen drain. It works, mostly in the winter when the grease thickens in the drains, so if you use it, you do not have to worry. (try it) I am going to try to make soap this weekend. I'll let you know what happens. You can also use this Lye on iron Skillets to clean them back to almost new. Good product, best of luck to you

I have been using this lye for making soap. I've used it for some time now and it always produces very good soap. I'm happy with it and will continue to use it.

I've made two batches of soap with this lye and it worked well. I used a spoon to scoop it into the container and some spilled, the granules are small so make sure to put up your pets and youngins just in case. Otherwise, it's great for soap making.

I’ve been using this to make my own tallow bar soap for a couple of years now. The lye lasts long, I only need a little bit at a time for a batch. Worth it so far.
