Surprisingly good sound and power!
-----------This is an updated review.--------------- I recently installed one of these stereos in my center console boat. This time I coupled it with a pair of 150w Pyle 6-1/2" speakers up front and a pair of 300w Kenwood 8" speakers in the back. All I can say is WOW!!! With these speakers, this stereo is amazing! Deep, bowel-shaking bass, clean midrange and crisp highs. I attribute much of the sound quality to the Kenwood speakers, but it's only because the head unit delivers the power. This setup rivals the 1000w stereo in my big boat as far as sound goes. I am truly amazed. ------------end new review-------------------- Installed this in a 21' deck boat I was planning to sell. Saw the 300W rating, and figured it was exaggerated, especially when I saw the unit. It looked thin and cheap, as the $39 price tag suggested. But I installed it anyway, tied in to (4) 150W Dual 6-1/2" coax speakers. Install was the standard DIN cage - fit in the existing hole easily. Took 10 mins. This WILL fit in a car, by the way. In fact, because it isn't too deep, it will probably fit where some others won't. When I turned on the radio and tuned in a station, I was surprised. Clear, crisp, and solid bass... Then I turned it up, and it got louder and louder. This thing really thumped! I was amazed, and cranked it up to see how loud it would go, and it got louder than I can handle. Made my wife come out of the house to see what was going on. Plenty of sound for when you are on the water with wind and engine noise. NICE! Turned on the bluetooth of my phone, linked them together, and BOOM, now I had my music playing. I have to say, I can't comment on it's longevity, but It worked great for the days I had it before the boat sold. New owner LOVED the stereo, had it playing for the whole test ride. I'm sure that helped sell the boat. Well worth the investment!

Easy wiring setup and (mostly) easy fit
Installed this to replace a failed stereo in my pontoon. All I really want is Bluetooth connectivity, so don’t care about any of the other features. It wired in easily to my existing harness. One word on that though. Other reviewers have wired the yellow and red leads together to prevent the stereo from draining the battery when the boat is not running. My boat has 2 leads on the harness, one switched and one with power all the time. For now, I wired it as per directions. I’ll probably go back and put a marine switch on the yellow wire to prevent drain. No biggie though. Installing the DIN sleeve into the existing hole in the dash was easy, but the stereo itself does not seem to lock well into the sleeve. It will come out with a fairly gentle push. I wanted to connect a rear support strap, but there was no screw provided and I’m not sure of the size. Not a huge deal, but I’m gonna have to go searching for the right one. Once installed, it fired up right away. Easy connection to the iPhone through Bluetooth. Great sound and seemingly adequate volume. Overall, I’m pleased with it, especially for the price. Contrary to what others have said, it is a marine unit. While not waterproof by any means, the case is plastic coated, there are plugs for external connections and the circuit is lacquer coated. I’ll update this review if I have future problems, but so far it’s doing what I want.

Better than my old $200 Sony - Very Happy with this stereo
I installed this stereo in my 24' Crownline deck boat replacing a Sony stereo from 2010. I kept the original 4 Sony speakers which seemed to work fine. Installation was easy using the harness. I was skeptical since the price was so low, but decided to trust the reviews and I'm glad that I did. The Bluetooth on the stereo pairs easily with various cellphones. The FM radio gets good reception on the water. My setup is obviously not a state-of-the-art wakeboard boat sound system with amplifiers and tower speakers blasting 60 feet back to the wakeboarder. However, my stereo is plenty loud inside the boat and the speakers sound awesome, much better than what they did with the Sony stereo. I highly recommend this stereo if you need an inexpensive sound system for the lake!

Nice sound for short money when it turns on which is rare.
This was my review when I first installed this radio. At first I thought I had a bum unit as some have complained about but the on/off button is just finicky. I found out 2 quick presses will turn the unit on and a quick press turns it off. I only have 2 speakers on my boat and I am really impressed how nice this cheap radio sounds. I'm not one to DJ the entire lake but just chilling on the boat and having some tunes, it is perfect. This is my review today 7/7/25. This radio is junk because it will not turn on. I thought it was a fuse or wiring issue but no. it is the on/off button. I didn't even use this radio that much and it is now broken. Why do they make such junk? Do not buy this radio.

Boat radio
Great head unit for a boat

Solid entry level unit
Cheap and easy replacement. The first one lasted about 3-4 years on my boat before the volume knob broke up. It’s so cheap I just bought another unit. The bluetooth feature works as it should and reaches on both ends of my 30 foot boat.

Amazing!!
AST year I purchased the Pyle speaker and stereo marine combo. Little did I know that radio isn’t waterproof. In its defense I had no idea they sold covers for them. I purchased this version since it was a little more powerful and looked just as easy to install. I’m highly impressed, it sounds so good and looks great under the new cover! Display is the only thing that’s hard to read.
