Great project. I purchased to replace costly strike indicators (Fly Fishing) on farm ponds. They work and cast great, very light, and pretty streamlined. Easy to cast using a 5wt.

These are obviously cheaper than the indicators sold by known fly fishing brands. If you are buying these for stillwater fly fishing, there is a gap in the foam. The gap will allow the indicator to slip off the line completely after a hook set. I took some super glue from my fly tying bench and glued the gap shut. I used binder clips to pinch the gap together while the glue cured. I tested a few with some tippet I had on hand, and this seems to have solved the issue. I have not fished them yet, but the quality otherwise seems fine.

These are an easy time saver. Just slide the line into the foam quark, then shove the black insert tightly into the top hole. Testing these out were so much fun and the colors really helped to keep track of the bobber on the surface. If you feel daring, use two for the ultimate dangle approach (added a split shot, and 1 sank) the easy of attatching and de-attatching was all around easy efficient, and dangly.

These are great if using jig sticks - super easy to attach to a line!

Before you spend money on anything, you need to know what you're buying. These are small floats for ultralight fishing. These are not slip bobbers, they are meant to be side loaded onto a line at the point you want them to stay and then stick the peg in them to hold them there. If you don't put in that peg and try to use these as slip bobbers, they will fall off. All of the 1-2 star reviews seem to be from people who are trying to use them incorrectly as slip bobbers or didn't realize what size they are. They looked at pics not at specs. That's their fault, not the product's. All of the 4-5 star reviews seem to be from people who are using these floats correctly and realize what they are. And these are great. Depending on your eyesight they may be difficult to see as a strike indicator, but they are excellent at holding an ultralight jig at a certain depth, which is what their main job is.

I bought the 36 count bag to try them for crappie and panfish on an ultra light set up and was I surprised, these little bobbers are awesome. I used weighted bobbers for years, I don't like how they would crimp the line and also I've had them to slide fraying and weakening the line, so cut and retie and start over. With E-Z Trout floats there is no fraying the line even when they do slip. They also let the jig move more natural and they are a whole lot more sensitive to even the lightest bites than the weighted bobbers. The bright colors can be seen from a pretty distance. They cast great from my 7 foot St Croix lite and ultralight with 4 lb line. No more weighted bobbers for me. I would highly recommend the E-Z Trout float for anyone using an ultralight set up.

Ne vous fiez pas à la photo donnée par amazon représentant un paquet noir comportant 36 flotteurs, il n'y aura ici que 4 flotteurs, 2 jaunes et 2 verts (alors que la couleur indiquée est jaune. Donc la seule information correcte est taille : 4 pack et le nombre de pièces 4, même si on peut penser qu'il s'agit d'un pack de 4x9 vu qu'il y en a 36 sur la photo. Sauf que du coup, ça n'est plus du tout une affaire 4 flotteurs pour ce prix là, 3,36 € le bout de polystyrène peint et quelques trucs en plastique pour tenir le fil, ça fait cher au kilo. Ces bouchons sont très pratiques mais la peinture se dégrade assez vite. C'est pour ça que je pensais en avoir commandé 36 d'ailleurs.. Un grand merci à ceux qui ont choisi la photo qui ne corresponds pas au produit vendu par amazon.

If using an ultra light setup these are a must. They stay visible due to vibrant colours,

I like it as it is very Bright in the water. But, while using a Rubber Lure with 0.5 gram sinker the whole float could not be seen on the surface. Returned the item.
