Great Starter Bible!
I purchased this Bible for my 8-year-old, and I couldn’t be more pleased with it. From the moment we opened it, it was clear that it was designed with children in mind—especially those who are developing stronger reading skills and starting to explore their faith more independently. The first thing that stood out was the large, bold font. It makes reading much easier for young eyes and boosts my child’s confidence when reading aloud. The language is simple yet meaningful, striking a great balance between being understandable and still conveying the depth of the stories. It doesn’t feel watered down, but it’s definitely appropriate for their age level. Visually, the Bible is vibrant and engaging. The illustrations are colorful, detailed, and help bring the stories to life. My child is especially drawn to the pictures and often pauses to ask questions or make observations. The layout is also very kid-friendly—clean, not too crowded, and organized in a way that encourages flipping through and discovering new stories on their own. What I appreciate most is how this Bible holds my child’s attention. It’s not just a book we read at bedtime—it’s something they pick up during the day, sometimes even on their own. It’s sparked curiosity, meaningful conversations, and even moments of quiet reflection. I truly feel this Bible is helping to plant seeds of faith while supporting literacy and comprehension. Overall, this is a fantastic Bible for kids around 7 to 10 years old. It’s thoughtful, visually appealing, easy to read, and spiritually enriching. Highly recommend for any parent looking to give their child a deeper connection to God’s Word in a way that feels fun and approachable.

Beautiful In Art and Words
The Storybook Bible is an enlightening, engaging, funny, clever, and beautiful retelling of the story of the Bible in bite-sized, art-filled chunks. What stands out at first look is the amazing artwork. The cohesive style by Don Clark is really something else. You could just page through this book without even reading the stories and be built up. However, upon reading, you realize the playful yet profound art of the words as well. There are jokes and wordplay in these retelling of key Bible stories, but also a really good grasp of the through line of theology. The prayers at the end of the each story often then connect the story to Jesus and our faith. A note on the theological bias: there is a representational and non-sacramental view displayed in the accounts involving baptism and the Lord’s Supper, for my Lutheran, Anglican, Catholic, Calvinist, and Orthodox friends. Overall, though, there isn’t any other spin here besides Christocentricity that I’ve seen so far.

What many have waited a lifetime for
I bought for my Catholic mother, and to my surprise, she absolutely cannot put it down. She is someone who has spent her entire life hearing Scripture through homilies, but not really sitting with it firsthand in a sustained way. Speaking pragmatically, that's not something we have ever particularly valued, and I'm not saying that this has necessarily changed that, but something about the matter-of-fact way the story is relayed to the reader (and stunningly illustrated) just unlocked that experience for her. It’s clear, narrative-driven, and genuinely inviting without feeling watered down (though Baby Moses in the river might object to that phrasing). What I appreciate most is that it doesn’t feel politically loaded. It simply tells the story—cleanly, coherently, and without trying to turn every passage into a battleground. That restraint is honestly its greatest strength. Even from my own “diet Catholic mindset,” I found it very accessible. It doesn’t demand that you come in with a fully formed theological framework, and it doesn’t overwhelm you with one either. It just lets the story breathe. If you’re looking for something that helps someone actually engage with Scripture rather than just hear about it secondhand, this has been a genuinely meaningful addition to the bookshelf.

Bible for Kids
As a parent, finding the right Bible for my child was essential, and I couldn't be happier with the one I chose. The colorful illustrations not only make the stories come to life but also help my child easily grasp the concepts within the text. The illustrations are beautifully integrated into the stories, making it engaging and visually appealing for young readers. Each page is a delightful adventure, filled with vibrant images that capture my child's imagination and bring the stories to life in a whole new way. What's more, the text itself is presented in a way that is easy for kids to understand, making it accessible and enjoyable for children of all ages. Whether it's the story of Noah's Ark or the parable of the Good Samaritan, my daughter is captivated by the vivid imagery and compelling narratives. Reading this Bible with my daughter has become a cherished nightly ritual. Not only does it provide us with valuable bonding time, but it also helps instill important values and teachings in her young heart and mind. I highly recommend this Bible for kids. Its colorful illustrations, engaging storytelling, and accessibility make it a perfect choice for introducing children to the wonders of the Bible and nurturing their faith journey from an early age.

Beautiful gift and nightly reader
Bought for my 8 year old. We read it every night and almost done. Writer does a nice job of making it kid friendly where they can. Artwork is beautiful. Quality is keepsake level, and I think this is a good first bible for a child under 12 or so.

Read this to my kids every night, they love the graphic pictures, and will look at them forever. I need to tell them to stop turning pages so I can read because they cant wait to see what the next picture looks like. The language is very easy to understand and amusing.

Preciosa
