I had to apply a water resistant glue over the stitching at the bottom and on the vertical stitching at the 4 corners, then I covered the glue with water proof duct tape, the bag doesn't look nice after the DIY modification but at least it does not allow for any water to enter and my tackle is protected. It is still one of the best kayak fishing tackle bags in the market, I just hope NRS take care of the water issue in their future products. ### ā­ā­ā­ā­ā­ Great product *by M***. on November 19, 2018* Iā€™m very happy with this bag! The bag is not water proof. Water seeps through the bottom of the bag. I wish the rod holders where in a different location. It makes it always to use them since they are in the back. I only fish the ocean so I can't really turn around and put the rods in. If you fish fresh water this probably won't be a problem for you. And it is awkward to zip up the bag.
