I love this surveillance camera housing. I'm setting up cameras all around my house, and this item is absolutely perfect for my needs. I have installed it high up, and rather hidden so that someone approaching my courtyard will not be able to see it. This is heavy for me - at my weight of 100 pounds - to install, but now that it's in place, I'm loving it! I know how to use a ladder safely, and I actually enjoyed installing this housing. I feel safer, knowing it's working to keep me safe!

The camera box met my needs. BUT the description says 2 pack. I only received one.

The build quality is some of the worst I've ever seen. There are so many casting marks all over this thing, the basic features don't work. The "weather stripping" is essentially packing material with post-it note glue on one side. With everything "latched", you can see clearly through the huge gaps straight into the interior of the housing. If you plan is to hang up a bunch of wasp houses, this will be great. If you want your cameras to last through a light rain storm, don't use this.

Hey all, So this is a pretty straight forward review - this one is for a weatherproof housing for your choice of surveillance camera. It should be noted that the description mentions that if your camera has built in IR capability, it will reflect off the inside of that front window and thus white wash our your image. There are window adapters for many cameras available or - you can always utilize an external IR flood flight. The housing itself appears to be well built, constructed from mainly aluminum and plastic caps on the front and back. The mount supplied will allow you to attach it 90 degree relative to your location and the front of the mount will allow you to articulate the camera to point in whatever direction suits you. The entire order came with ONE housing and mount with supplied hardware required to mount it. For this price - I don't think you can go wrong. Check out the video I uploaded, I actually ordered this one just because it is so overt and I wanted to utilize it mainly as a security deterrent, in other words - I want people to see it. I would definitely order again and if you are in the market for a weatherproof housing for your camera, I don't think you can go wrong with this one. My grading scale: 5 Stars = Knocks it out of the park, PERFECT BUY! 4 Stars = Excellent find, you should definitely give it a shot. 3 Stars = It works and functions as advertised. 2 Stars = A little scary, but do your research and it may work out. 1 Stars = Avoid this product and look elsewhere. This is a single unit. Title of product is misleading. I removed the glass to house IR camera. The housing and the mount are not the same color. Not noticeable when mounted high. Pretty good quality and does the job.
