Game changer for international travel
This water bottle transformed my international vacation from spending time boiling water to the ease of filling up at any available sink or stream. It does require about a minute total of work between pulling the bottle apart, filling it up, and then pressing the filter down, but it's well worth it to not have to suck hard on a straw (which causes wrinkles around your lips). Also, you can filter your water in this bottle and then pour that into a cup or onto your toothbrush or to wash your face (which cannot be done with a straw-filter bottle.) The only way this bottle could be improved would be a way to attach the small cap so it's not misplaced or dropped (the geopress model does have a cap cord and I'm not sure why they removed that on this ultrapress model). It does not hold a ton of water (the filter takes up some space) so I also brought a second normal bottle to fill and pour into this Grayl. The grayl does leave a bit of water on the floor when you press it down (seems to come out between the seal on the bottom while pressing) so be mindful where you do this. I appreciate that this bottle is somewhat slender so it fits into my daypack's side pocket. (If the diameter is not an issue for you, consider the geopress, which holds more water, can handle a higher particulate level, doesn't have the seal issue at the bottom, and has the cap-keeper.) Love Grayl products!
I much prefer the size of this Grayl to the original. Itโs a perfect travel companion when water quality matters.

Great to have clean water, need to push hard to filter.
I'd give it 4 1/2 stars, taking points off for 2 things: it is hard to push down to filter the water, but as a female, with perseverance, got it to work each time, getting it to go down a little at a time with effort. Also, the instruction booklet has very small type, and so not realizing I shouldn't, I left it damp in the bottle for almost 3 weeks as I used it on a trip almost daily. But, instructions say use it once and let the filter dry 2 - 4 days. Some people suggest getting an extra filter so can have one drying and one in use. Also, help the filter to dry faster by pressing it down a couple times without water after rinsing the filter in plain cool water and only wash the body of the bottle with soap. All that said, it was great to have clean water as we traveled in a country with known issues in their well water and was worth the effort. The smaller size fit the side of my backpack, it's well made, seems a little heavy, but well worth it to have clean water while traveling. Didn't have to buy so much bottled water so will pay for itself. P,S, TSA took time to open it and inspect it. No issues, though.

Very effective and safe drinking water.
Must have when travelling abroad using unknow water sources. A++++ Great for civil emergency use too :) Don't forget to stock up on the replacement filters.

A good solution to having clean water wherever you go
The benefit of this bottle is that you know you have clean water regardless of the water source used and regardless of where you go. It is a bit tough to push the water through the filter, but i assume that is because the filter works well so if there is no solution to that then it is worth the trade-off.

Didnโt work for me.
Went to Pakistan. Have a water purifier test kit as well. Tap water was 588. After I put the tap watery through this two times, it only went down to 484. Safe water should register below 150. Unless I did something wrong with the filter, this is garbage. (Tested Aquafina after this and it registered at 120).

Over two weeks of travel, no illness
Fantastic product. Super well designed. I comfortably drank water across Spain and France from tap with not a single issue of gastro illness. Before you say tap water is safe, I traveled in Italy for 3 weeks and was ill there. Regardless, simple to use, easy to drink from (I didn't want the suction straw style of cleaning water), handle at the top of great for travel, as well as many aspects of the bottle being well designed (material, ability for inner cup to 'stand' upside down when you're filling the outer cup). I am very, very impressed by this product.

Buona qualitร

Wel made. High quality
Suitable for long term storage of 10 years. Production date was about a year ago. Questions at the manufacturer are quickly and well answered. Filters also viruses and heavy metals.

Saves on bottled water
Bought for a trip to India. Saved on buying bottled water. Used it to filter some very dodgy looking water and never had any problems.
