Exactly what I was looking for and works as advertised. Nice work surface, good amount of storage under the lid and the legs fold for easy storage. Fits nicely beside my chair when not in use.

I love it for doing my paperwork, eating off of and I can store my bills and use it for my desk to pay bills, folds for easy storage in my bill drawer. Nothing is built to last forever that's why it's short 1 ⭐, but it's awesome for what I use it for. Sturdy by itself yes, but depends on where you put it like folded in my lap, I'm clumsy. Lightweight definitely, Durability for what I need yes, can you take a hammer to it, no. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Rated on How I use it and how it's built, it's Only plastic. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For what it is.

The desk is exactly what I expected: an inexpensive, occasional-use surface for a laptop or notepad. The legs fold out and snap into place, but the whole thing seems a little flimsy. Not that it won't work for what I need, it's just that it has that slightly flexible plastic toy feel. Again, it works fine, but it's not robust by any means. My kids enjoy using it to sketch while watching TV on the couch, or using their laptops in bed to read or do homework. The storage space inside the tabletop is a nice touch, they keep their Kindles inside with note pads, pencils, stencils, etc.

To sum it up in one word: FLIMSY. The durability of the construction is completely nonexistent. I had planned to use this non-stop while my desktop computer is out of service & I'm stuck on a laptop, but now I don't even know if I'm going to keep it. I plan on replacing it with a larger, prettier, more environmentally-friendly, and definitely more functional bamboo lap desk. This one... I will either return or keep it in the car for a spare on long road trips. I won't keep it for myself, though. And the storage compartment is basically useless for me, because I don't have room to take my heavy laptop off in order to rummage around in there, IF I can even get the crappily-designed lid to open. What a waste.

My 4yo received this lap tray three months ago for her birthday - I wanted to give it some time before I wrote a review to be sure it really holds up - and I am happy to report it has held up very well! These lap trays are great, not only at home with arts and crafts, but also on the road for commutes to school or shopping - really entertains them! This style has more room to work on the top surface than some others, with good storage underneath.

My daughter loves her lap desk! I can see why some people commented on the plastic, but it serves its purpose and seems sturdy enough. I was really pleased with the storage space inside the table top, but it isn't my opinion that matters... My 8 year old mega-crafter says, "you should buy it because it is good for breakfast in bed and you can do all your art stuff on it!" So there you have it, folks!

These desk are great! They make it easy for us to take our learning anywhere! They store all of the essentials we need during study time and my kids often use them for playtime as well. They are very kid friendly. No metal parts that could pinch little fingers and easy to clean! We love these desk and would highly suggest incorporating these into your daily activities. It definitely gives us the sense that we are in a class even tho we aren’t! And did I mention they arrived super fast?

Bought this to take on a long car trip as a backseat passenger. Will easily hold my recent iPad Air and my ereader, both in their covers, and still have space left. The design is functional, comfortable to hold on my lap without the legs extended as I sit in my recliner now. No sharp or rough edges on surface. Top fastens over front edge of bottom with a tab, seems reasonably secure if handled with some care. One leg doesn’t fasten securely in the open position. It is all molded plastic and this may be a slight design flaw in that the fastening tabs don’t appear to align perfectly. The leg will stay extended, just doesn’t latch completely. Suits my needs.
