Lodge Round Tempered Glass Lid - 12 Inch

Adding a lid to your cast iron pan greatly enhances the overall use of the pan. You can steam, hurry up the cooking process or keep splattering under control with a simple lid and this Lodge lid fit the bill exactly. This 10.250 lid fits my 10.250 Lodge pan perfectly. It may cost slightly more than some other lids but it’s tempered, well made, and (face it) it’s a Lodge product so I trust its quality, and you should also.

I received a new copper pan for Christmas, but there was no lid. This lid works perfectly to cover. It is also oven proof up to specific temperature so makes being able to sear on the stove top and then transfer to the oven a breeze. The handle is of a silicone material and easy to grip. With other kids I have had the handle come loose, or even fall off and this handle appears to be made in a way that prevents that. There are no vent holes, provided so note that if you need to vent. I have found that just slightly angling the lid on the pan to create a gap solves the no vent issue as a work around.

This 8 inch Lodge Round Tempered Glass Lid PERFECTLY fits my 1940s-1950s REVERE WARE egg pan that my mom got as a wedding present just after WWII. I love it. NO VENT to deal with to leak out moisture and flavor. If you want to see through it, just spin the lid on the pan and all the tasty juices spin off the glass lid and drip down the side of the egg pan back into the food - where they belong instead of leaking out the lid. Plus this lid is half the price of a good used Revere Ware lid. I am about to buy 2 more, one each for my bigger Revere Ware fry pans. Thank you, Lodge, for helping us continue to cook on the old style NON-TOXIC stainless steel pans, in addition to your own cast iron beauties.

Finally, I have a lid for my Lodge skillet - works great, dishwasher safe.

I'm giving this four stars because it is the second one I've had to purchase. The first one, the screw I guess was stripped and therefore the handle came off. We tried gorilla glue but nothing would hold it in place. It fits the large cast iron by lodge and I use this daily almost. I have used on the smaller lodge pans when necessary but obviously not a tight seal as with the large skillet. if this one "breaks" like the other, I guess I'll just have to keep replacing. Note: it is rust resistant, easy to use and clean, good value, not lightweight.

I bought this for my large cast-iron skillet and it works like a charm very high-quality. I dropped it once or twice not even a crack or chip.

Used these for years. Keeps splatter down and helps keep heat and moisture in for better cooling results. It's not destroyed by heat in many years of use.

Within 40days the knob screw and thread worn out..... The quality is bad if the item can get damage within 40day of purchase.....

Fits my small Lodge fry-pan perfectly. It’s a good product.

Fits the pan great. People said it is "loose" but it is supposed to be - for expansion when pan heats up. No steam escapes as the metal ring has a drip edge that catches steam, which runs back into pan. It works great- seems expensive but is worth it.
