Yes, they are great.
Great. Better than Power brand. Cost less, supportive and not quite as hard and more comfortable.

Good for plantar fascia related issues if you need a high arch support.
Like many other reviewers, I'm battling PF, but only in my left foot. I got PF as a running / aging issue back in May and over the past several months, I've tried lot of insoles. If you have a new case of PF, I would strongly recommend you see your doctor or podiatrist for both advice on how to minimize the injury, start recovery, and hopefully work back to normal. I'm in the 'try to get back to normal' phase now. The best arch supports I have came from the good feet store, but were way over priced. I've been those expensive supports around from shoe to shoe and I tried these looking for a lower cost set that felt good. These Spenco Total Support Max insoles worked very well for me. I need a pretty high arch support. My arch length is about a shoe size larger (11.5) than my actual foot length (10.5). Some of the other insoles I tried were not high enough. The Spenco ones were great and low cost. I think these are my go-to insole for multiple pairs of shoes while I battle PF. Here are the other things I tried: - Superfeet Green - Not bad, but not as high of an arch support as these Spenco's. Superfeet also cost at least 50% more. - Sof Sole Air Orthotic - Very low arch support. Didn't work for me at all. - Pedifix arch bandage - Not an insole, but a bandage to compress the arch. Worked a little, but not very good. - Custom heat molded insole from Road Runner sports. Also good, created a high arch support, but cost 2X the Spenco I'm pretty pain free now, but use insoles, and do lots of stretching. I'm not able to run without causing PF pain flare ups afterwards, but I hope with continued arch and leg exercises, I'll get back to that. One more thing...you might want to set a set of the spenco sandals or put arch supports in your slippers. Not walking barefoot, especially first thing out of bed in the morning really helped my PF issue.

so comfortable comparison
I bought the Spenco Max Total Support Insole and the Sof Sole Fit High Arch together for comparison. The shoes involved were a pair of new Merrill Jungle mocs in 11W and a pair of worn New Balance 411 in 11 4W. My New Balance were used with my first set of sof soleโs and were a great fit for my high arches. loved and still love this combination with the 2nd pair. The Jungle Mocs were a totally different experience with the soft sole. the high arch support was prevalent but it lacked support in other areas of my foot. Switching to the Spenco resulted in more support for other problem areas in my feet but although solid support for my arches not quite as high as the sof soles. I am really happy with the Spenco in my Jungle Mocs. a higher arch version would be perfect but iโll keep wearing my spencoโs for a while. very high quality product that does not squeak like the sof soles do. I should mention, I roughed up the bottoms of the insoles on my cement porch and that helped a lot. I am happy with both quality product now that I found what works best in each of my shoes!

Spenco making my feet happy again
My podiatrist looked at my existing insoles (Stepprs and Dr. Scholl's) and said that I needed something with a more rigid arch to help alleviate my plantar fasciitis. I had the Spenco Total Support Max insoles already on the way. Yes, they are more expensive, but they don't actually just feel "cushy" on my feet. I can actually feel them pressing up on the arch with every step (which is the point of arch support). I'm a few days into wearing them and I can actually feel some improvement in my pain level (also doing the prescribed stretches every 30 minutes). I'm not waking up feeling hobbled and I'm walking almost pain-free for the first time in 3 months. If I decide that this is the best product for continued foot health, I will probably buy a couple more pairs for my other daily shoes and my slippers.

) The reason the Spenco Total Support Max don't work for me is because this model is more like an orthotic
Although they don't work for me, I gave them 5 stars because they are very well constructed, and MUCH nicer than the rip-off $44-$54 Superfeet insoles. (I think the people who make Superfeet are no different than the Epi-Pen makers!) The reason the Spenco Total Support Max don't work for me is because this model is more like an orthotic. It is very rigid for my neutral/medium arches. They work great when I am walking, however, when simply standing, I can tell there is too much arch support for me. I called Spenco, and the customer support rep said that the Max is indeed more of an orthotic, and that if I liked the support, but don't need an orthotic, I should exchange them for the Total Support Original, which flexes in the arch. They also alternatively offered me a full refund, even though I didn't buy them from them directly, because they have an unconditional guarantee. Wow! That's the way shopping should be! When I bought these, I also bought Superfeet Green at the same time, because they are all the rave at places like REI. But, there really is no comparison. Superfeet Green simply has a top fabric over closed-cell foam, with the addition of a plastic mold under the arch and heel. That's it. The Spenco Total Support Max has three layers - an anti-microbial top fabric, foam, padding, and a plastic mold under the heel and arch. They also have 3 strategically placed pads on the very bottom below the plastic. Another nice thing about the Spenco insoles is that they have vent holes under the ball of the foot, and I can tell you that these made a huge difference in my leather Keen Citizen boots. The stock insoles, like the Superfeet insoles, had no holes under the ball portion, and when I removed the insoles after wearing them at work all day, they were soaked with sweat. When I ran my fingers across the footbed of the shoes, my fingers were dripping. While I did not wear the Superfeet insoles for that long, I could see they would do the same thing, and I can see how the moisture would affect the close-cell foam of the insole, as well. But, this did not happen with the Spenco insoles. The footbed of the shoe was not wet at all when I removed them, and the insole itself was not soaking wet, either. I honestly can't believe having holes in the insoles would matter that much, because I would think the moisture of the sweat would still be there, but apparently holes in the insoles make a huge difference. How the makers of Superfeet can justify charging so much more for their product when it's easy to see how much cheaper it must be to make than the Spenco product smells like pure greed to me. I prefer to support Spenco because they produce a better product AND at a fair price. I returned the Superfeet Greens I ordered, and am in the process of an exchange with Spenco the Total Support Max model I bought for the Total Support Original model, as Spenco's customer service rep suggested.

Far superior to my custom orthotics
I have flat feet and severely overpronate. I have worn custom orthotics for about 10 years but as I got more athletic and fit those orthotics wit the style made stopped working. I was actually in more pain when wearing the orthotics than barefoot. I lost a lot of weight and am more fit that I have ever been., Went to a new podiatrist who automatically talked me into getting her $400 custom orthotics and she wanted me in the Brooks Beast. In no way would listen that I was not comfortable at all. So got a refund and off to an orthopedic surgeon who finally had answers and #1 for him was Spenco Total Support Insoles. I wear a neutral New Balance running shoe and he said the problem had been I had been buying shoes to fit the orthotic and it should be the other way around. The moment I stood on these insoles in his office I felt support and comfort. We trimmed them to size and my feet have been granted a new life. I get such support, stability and comfort from these orthotics. Honestly better than I ever got from custom orthotics. It is important to note these are not orthotics to be worn just for comfort. They are strong, durable and rigid meant to provide that needed support for the overpronator. There is rigid arch support with a deep heel cup that has a ton of cushioning. When I started wearing these I felt so great I exercized and walked ant least 5 miles a day for a week and overdid it. Needed a short break before easing back in. With any new orthotic you must give them a break in period. And as I said I get more support and comfort with these than with $400 custom orthotics. Another note, when I first wore these they squeaked which I read was a common thing with new orthotics. I put some moleskin under the heel which silenced it some but they just needed to be worn in and now the squeak is fully gone. I am rather stunned at what a high end product these are and also how durable. I have been suffering with pain for no one would help me get the correct orthotic and understand what I truly need. Till this doctor. Finally no more pain and no more buying product after product to try. But remember don't overdo at first and ease into these. These are very structured with a lot of support. But they will help. Let your feet and body adjust. I can't recommend them enough.

On the fence
I have been experiencing pain on the outside of my left foot for a couple of months. After researching the issue, I believe that my weight shifts to the outside of my foot(Supination). A couple of sites recommended these inserts to help alleviate my "foot roll". I am really hope they would help as to not have to spend alot of money on doctor bills. My inserts came mailed in a "bubble envelope". Due to this (I hope), the insert's clear plastic container was quite dented and the top was open. Everything looked ok when I took out the inserts and inspected them. The inserts were larger than my shoes that I wanted to place them in. I checked the packaging and the inserts to see if there was a size listed. I did not see one on the inserts but the packaging said for 9/10 womens. I wear a 9 1/2 shoe. I debated on sending them back but decided to go ahead and trim them. There was no guide for trimming so I assume that the inserts truly are not meant to be trimmed. I can see from the other comments that others were in the same position. I inserted the them into my flats that I wear to work. The bottom of my feet felt great. I could also tell that my feet were more stable. However, due to the thickness, my shoes were tight on the top of my feet and toe areas. The back of the shoe did not come up very far over my heel. After wearing for a few minutes the shoes seem to loosen up a bit. After wearing them all day, I had to remove the inserts. The tightness of the shoes was putting too much pressure on my little toe of the left foot that I am having pain in. I am going to try them with another pair of shoes. Pros : 1) I could tell that my feet were more stable. 2) The bottom of my feet felt great. 3) Product seems durable. Cons: 1) Buy a smaller size. I had to trim way too much off the inserts to be able to get them in my shoes. 2) The thickness of the inserts caused my shoes to be too tight and caused rubbing on the sides and top of my feet. I am going to give them another try with different shoes. I think if I have shoes that are wider, then I will get some great benefit from these inserts. However, if they will not work with some of my work shoes, then it will not be worth the money spent,

Wrong size
Got size 13 but was way too long for my size 13 shoes

The gold standard for all my shoes
Perfect arch support, which results in less pressure on my spine. I'm tall and skinny with long narrow feet that needs strong arch support. These ones do it better than any off the shelf ones I've tried from my local chemist.

Great support, comfort and materials.
Replaced a pair of worn out Superfeet with these, and I was very pleased with the results. For the first week or two, there was about a 10 minute "adjustment period" every time I put them on -- the arch area is higher than I am used to, so it took some time to get accustomed to it. After about a week, the additional support felt natural. Quality wise, the material used is great, and I was surprised by the amount of padding. Both the heel and mid toe area have an extra layer of cushioning compared to what I usually see with Superfeet, and the additional support and comfort is noticeable. Only downside is that since the arch support is so high and firm, I am not sure if I would use these insoles for extended running. For everyday walking, they're perfect. Overall, I definitely would say these are a fantastic insole addition.
