Best notebook I've found
Over the past several years I have amassed a small collection of black notebooks used for journaling. I've found them at various stores and mostly have purchased different ones on Amazon. This notebook is the best one I've found and I'm convinced that it's the best one made. To begin, I like the size of this notebook. It's larger than the comparatively-sized Moleskin notebook -- I always thought the Moleskin notebooks were too narrow at 5' x 8.25". Although the product description says that this notebook is 5.7" x 8.4", it seems to be consistent with the A5 paper size (5.5" x 8.25"). Either way, it's slightly wider than the Moleskin notebooks. I definitely enjoy the A5 paper size above other sizes. This notebook also has really nice, thick pages. The paper is noticeably thicker than the paper in a Rhodia Webnotebook, so the overall thickness of the notebook itself is also slightly greater. Another nice feature in this notebook is the smoothness of the paper. It's not as slick as the paper in the Rhodia Webnotebook, but I actually prefer the smoothness in this notebook over the Rhodia. It works well with fountain pens and with very little, if any, feathering. The Lemome notebook has a far superior cover when compared to the Rhodia. The cover on this notebook has a much more leathery feel --much more texture. Further, it seems that it holds up much better. The cover of the Rhodia almost feels fragile and quickly shows marks. The Lemome notebook cover is the nicest I've seen any any similarly-priced notebook. Lastly, the price point on the Lemome beats the Rhodia Webnotebook, too. At their normal price is around $13 (I've purchased them for $12.99 and $13.99) which is more affordable than the Rhodia which comes in at $17.50. I have also purchased the Lemome for as little as $8.75 when they're on sale. Again, the Lemome beats the Rhodia. If you're looking for a really nice notebook for journaling or drawing then you owe it to yourself to try this one. There is a reason I have so many of these on standby in my desk drawer!

Very simalar to their calendar
I'm still finding the best way to use it this journal / notebook. It has been made the old school way. Leather bound and lies flat when open. Almost like one larger piece of paper so you can leave it *open* on your desk. And you dont have wires interfering with your hand. I chose the tan book with grey spine because I liked the classic look very stylish. And I got the matching calendar / planner. The covers are quite durable and I like the paper thickness. Now heres the part I really like. The pen /pencil rests in the SPINE of the book instead of on the right side of the book. I usually buy notebooks with a pen-loop on the right side or buy 3rd party loops to attach to the notebook. If you have ever tried note books like that you know the pen catches on every little thing. So you have to always be conscious of how you put it in your bag. With this one the pen ends up being 'cradled' into the spine, it prevents the pen from hooking everything it comes into contact with. That is a genius move. I dont really have to take precautions throwing it into my bag. Summary: high quality book binding, Pen loop location makes it very easy to keep a pen with it all the time and you dont have to carry a pen separately. A DEFINITE 'should buy'. 5 out of 5 stars!

Best Journal ever!
I am usually not one for writing a review for something as simple as a journal but I definitely felt like I should share my thoughts on this one. This is probably the best journal I have ever used. Especially for the price point I definitely recommend this purchase! First off it is very stylish and cute and let's be real - we all want something that we are taking the time to write in everyday to be something that is aesthetically pleasing and makes us want to get it out and write in it. It is super sturdy and I have kept it in my purse and never had an issue with pages getting bent or the outside cover getting bent out of shape. It's flexible and sturdy all at once because it's made out of cork. The pages are thick enough that if you are a Bullet Journal Junkie or have a heavy hand that it will not bleed into the page underneath. I also love that even though the outside binding and cover are very sturdy it lays flat on the table with no problem. I definitely recommend and I will be purchasing again in the future!

Well utilized, front to back.
I used this journal to track my time spent on activities during work. I work 80+ jobs in construction project management, so this really came in handy when it came to putting together my timecard at the end of each week. I used a metal ruler to create a vertical line about 1" from the left side of each page, and in that left column I wrote down the start and end times for each activity, as well as the day of the week. I was able to track miles spent, and purchases bought. I was able to track with whom I spoke and what the latest status was. This journal was probably the most well-utilized journal I have ever had in my life. Further, the quality of the journal is great. I like that the lines are lighter and dashed, so they do not distract from the content I am putting down. I like the narrow rule because it allows for more content, especially since I have small handwriting I found this very compatible. The bookmark string was also super useful because I could open right up to where I left off each day. The elastic band came in handy with keeping my pages secure, especially when travelling from job site to job site, from home to office, etc.. I bought another type of journal because I thought I would change it up for the new year, but honestly it just was not nearly as practical as this one. This one is so great for the job, that I had to buy the same exact one again. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Great book, but you should be careful if you use fountain pens with it.
Cover The cover is some sort of synthetic leather, but it seems very durable. I am impressed by it. It is thick and has some back leather grain pressed into it. I like the feel of the cover, and I am confident that this book will hold up to some abuse. The book looks professional and I have no issues caring it around with me. Construction The journal has all the same stuff as other book-bound A5 journals in this category. It includes a page marker, elastic closure, and back pocket. They also include some cheap archival stickers in several different colors. The journal comes with an attached pen loop. That is awesome! I generally have to buy elastic pen loops and attach them to my journals and those pen loops seem to always perform poorly. This pen loop is stout and it does not get in the way at all. That is a major plus for me. Ruling Here is where things get interesting. I bough this book for the ruling. Some people classify this book as wide ruled. The ruling isn’t exactly wide, but it is a tad bit wider than other books in this class. Typically, dotted bullet journals (which seem to be all the rage right now) have a dot spacing of 5mm. I hate this with a passion! I write small, but I have a very hard time getting my penmanship constrained into such a tiny space. Ordinary ruled books in this category typically have a line spacing of 6mm. This is why I am such a fan of fine pens! Six millimeters is pretty narrow, but most of my books are in 6mm. I am generally happy with that. However, some of my pens have a nib that is a bit broader than my others. As such, it is difficult to enjoy writing in the 6mm lines with the broader pens. I purchased this book because it was marketed as a “wide ruled” journal. I measured the line spacing myself. Based on my measurements, the line spacing is 7mm. That may not seem like much of a difference, but that one extra millimeter makes all the difference to my penmanship with my broader pens. That is why this book is Winslow Approved. I needed a cheap book with a little extra room so that I could enjoy some of my larger pens, and this book did that for me. Excellent! Paper Quality This is the most important consideration for fountain pen users! This paper is smooth and it is thick, but it will not hold up to most fountain pen inks well. The paper is 120 gsm, so it is very thick. The paper is also smooth, and I enjoy writing with it. However, the paper is not ink resistant at all! The paper is very absorbent. I tested it with a bunch of the pens that I had inked up at the time. Based on my testing, I noticed feathering and spreading in inks that normally perform pretty well in other journals. The paper is so thick that ghosting or bleed through is not really an issue unless you are flexing or writing with a very wet pen. If you are using pencil or a ball-point pen in this book, you should have no problems. If you plan on using this book with a fountain pen, you should think long and hard about it. You may not like the results that you will get with this inexpensive and highly absorbent paper. The only one of my inks that performed well on this paper is Noodler’s Black.

Love my Lemome!
After trying many brands of expensive and/or low quality notebooks to use as bullet journals, I recently bought a "Lemome Thick Notebook/Journal with Pen Loop" and it has become my new favorite. The Lemome has a well-crafted leather cover with smooth rounded edges. It has 192 high-quality sewn pages which allow it to lay completely flat. It features an elastic loop closure, a ribbon page marker, a rear pocket including a sheet of colorful page tabs, and a pen loop on the outside bound edge. All these features are very nice but my favorite thing is the amazingly soft, smooth, THICK paper. It is by far the thickest paper I've ever found in any journal! I use very wet and deeply pigmented pens and I never have any ghosting or bleed through in my Lemome. In the past, I've had to abandon notebooks because of ghosting, so I am very happy to have found the Lemome. Other journals can cost $20 and up, but the Lemome is only $12.99 and I have zero complaints about its quality. It comes in black or brown, dot or ruled. If you absolutely must have a brightly colored cover, or pre-numbered pages, or pre-printed Index pages, or an included bullet journaling guide,, the Lemome might not be your top pick. However, I'm happy to save a little money since I didn't have to sacrifice any quality. All the features and the amazing paper more than make up for the 2 minutes I'll spend numbering my own pages. And I'm happy with the classic black cover because the inside will be filled with all the color I can imagine and none of the ghosting or bleed through that happens with many other brands of journals.. Love my Lemome!

A nice Moleskine Alternative.
Product: Thick Classic Notebook with Pen Loop - Lemome A5 Wide Ruled Hardcover Writing Notebook with Pocket I have been a Moleskine user for years but recently decided to branch out and try this Lemome notebook.. So far I am very pleased with the Lemome notebook. It has a sturdy feel, is well bound, and looks professional. I will gladly continue to use this notebook until I run out of pages.. All else equal - I still give Moleskine a slight edge, however, that likely comes down to personal preference. I guess i still generally feel Moleskine feels like it is made of more premium leather- but take that with a grain of salt I am not an expert and any difference is likely negligible to most users.. One large advantage of Lemome - it does have a pen holder on the outside of the binding - which comparable Moleskine products do not. This is actually quite nice and may make up for the slight cosmetic advantage I perceive in the Moleskine products. All in all - this Lemome notebook is a very good product. Frankly, I think the determining factor as to which brand I use next time will simply come down to price at the time I go to make the purchase.. Both brands will go on sale - Lemome down to ~$9 at which point it is a great buy. Very happy with the purchase and I expect I will likely be a relatively frequent purchaser of this product.

Perfect Notebook!
I purchased this notebook to use at work. It is absolutely perfect for taking notes, numbers, etc. I love the pen holder, I always know where my pen is (not buried in the bottom of my bag!) It comes with a ribbon bookmark that is very helpful also. The elastic for holding the book closed or marking a spot in the notebook is so helpful. I don't have to worry about it coming open and the pages getting messed up if I drop it in my bag on its side. It is great being wide ruled instead of college ruled, I don't have to worry about writing really small! The pocket in the back has been wonderful, as I have a few loose papers that I have to have with me at work. It is all kept neatly in the notebook pocket. It is sturdy, pages are thick enough to prevent bleed through, and a great size. I will be purchasing another one for home!

Alta calidad.

Consigliato.

Excellent quality notebook!
I bought this during my first year in university and definitely do not regret buying it. I first bought this so that it would get me started on journalling, and it actually came into great use when the pandemic hit. The packaging was really cute. It came in a white container that says "I am a gift", which is also wrapped in a thin plastic. I liked the packaging as it created an extra barrier against anything that could damage the notebook on the transit. The paper quality was really nice - the ink from any pens does not seep through the other side of the paper. I did find that some pens, such as fountain pens and gel pens, did take longer to dry on the paper compared to normal printing A4 papers. I even painted on the paper with water colour. Although the paper did lift and such, as it is not a water colour paper, the paper did hold on really well. There were also no transfer on the other side and no rips from having water touch the paper. The notebook has a hardcover on it which makes it really sturdy and a good protector for the paper. The sturdiness does add to the weight of the notebook though, so I would not recommend this for those who are looking for a on-the-go light-weight type of notebook. Despite how thick and sturdy it is, the the spine of the notebook is actually quite flexible and did not break on me. It was actually really well made and made it easy to open the notebook full 180° which is satisfying. The elastic that holds the notebook shut is truly so good. It did not loosen overtime and held the notebook together well. I didn't find the pen holder useful, but I think that is just me. If you want to put a thick pen on the pen holder then it will take longer for the elastic to stretch out to accommodate the pen. The price of this notebook is definitely worth it. I bought it for £10.29 in November of 2019 and now it is £9.99. The quality is something that I have never seen before and something that I cannot see now either. With Christmas coming around in 90 days I would 100% recommend gifting this to people.
