Own 14 Skil 12v tools (blown away by their performance) and this auto hammer is the neatest and useful me of the bunch. Don’t get me wrong, hammering nails is therapeutic for me. (Seabees love swinging hammers) This little tool, though, brings me the same amount of joy. Skils’ 12v line has numerous nifty tools, such as this. I hope it they keep em comin! Review: Good tool..buy 12mm ejector pins for mechanic use. - For mechanic applications, as others have mentioned, you will need to purchase an ejector pin. One review said to purchase a 11mm (7/16) pin here on desertcart. I did and it was too small. I purchased a set of two pins that are 12mm (15/32). They fit exactly and could be cut down to two different lengths to access any area needed. The auto hammer is a nice all around tool for both mechanical use and carpentry but I look forward to the day when some tool producer makes a more powerful cordless hammer meant to use air hammer accessories for the mechanical trades.

**Q: will charger work with 4ah battery ?**

Yes the charger in this kit is compatible with any of the SKIL 12V PWRCore batteries. Thank you for your inquiry!

**Q: Will this work for nailing baseboards and toe molding?**
A: Hi SWB, good question. The auto hammer may be used for nailing into all types of wood, wood-like materials, and
plaster board. Thank you for your question.

**Q: What's the largest size nail head will fit in this nailer**
A: The magnetic telescopic collet will take nail heads up to 10mm.
If you re like me and based in the UK you should be aware the battery charger 110V not UK 230V so you need to get a 230V Skil charger (hard to get in Europe) or as I did an Amazon supplied Eagle 110v to 230v voltage adapter

**Q: Is this easy to use? spot tight? My wrist was hurt a few years ago, wanna seek for a handy tool.**
A: I've a similar problem.  Took a chance &  regret this purchase.  You'll need to swing a hammer first to seat most nails.

For mechanic applications, as others have mentioned, you will need to purchase an ejector pin. One review said to purchase a 11mm (7/16) pin here on Amazon. I did and it was too small. I purchased a set of two pins that are 12mm (15/32). They fit exactly and could be cut down to two different lengths to access any area needed. The auto hammer is a nice all around tool for both mechanical use and carpentry but I look forward to the day when some tool producer makes a more powerful cordless hammer meant to use air hammer accessories for the mechanical trades.

Working on joist reinforcement where access was extremely right, absolutely no way I could have properly nailed in the joist hangers without this tool. Even if I never use it again, it was 100% worth it just for this project. But after seeing it perform, I already know I'll need it again for other projects. I was able to drive 3.5" nails in areas with less than 8" of space where it was impossible to swing a hammer. Unit got hot, but didn't skip a beat, and the battery lasted. I appreciate the light weight, and ability to change the angle of the head. Did notice that straight alignment where driving piston is in line with the handle resulted in the most force applied. If you have the room, it's best to use that position.
