I was planning on using this to put designs on clothing. I was wondering does it bleed when being washed and will the color fade?

Authentic DMC like this package 's threads are colorfast , I suggest to wash the clothing with the cold water and if you are still worried There are things called dye catchers/color catchers you can add to the wash water , They're usually in the laundry aisle. Wide selection of colours and good quality.

Loved the collection of threads but felt it to be an extravagant, once only purchase as they were very expensive. I am doubtful about the many lower priced products as I know of the very good reputation of DMC embroidery threads. I hope I put them to good use now that I have started sewing again
