This pump was used to dewater waste water collection drums at a factory. No strainer was used, and a large metal object was ingested which stopped the impeller cold, the resulting momentum was transferred to the casing bolts which were ripped out of the front volute. The floating design of the motor, while providing quiet operation provides no support to any sudden stoppage of the impeller by a foreign object.I would recommend it for those low cost applications, provided it is protected by a strainer. We are attempted to epoxy the volute to reattach the mounting bolts. I will update the post when completed. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars It did not work on arrival.
