Alessi ASG02 BW "Lilliput" Salt/Pepper, Black, White

Kind of pricey, but very cute. My husband would like for the salt to be dispensed faster than the salt shaker in this set does. The shakers are easy to open and close, and the backs are clear so you can tell which is which (I bought the black and white ones in any case, but one of the reasons I didn't consider the other colors was that I didn't know the backs were clear.)

Unique design & functionality. You could play with the salt and pepper shaker man! The feet of the salt and pepper shaker are magnetic. They could climb the thin pole, they could twirl around on the thin pole, they could stand on their feet. Fun conversation piece at the dinner table.

Alessi has such great designs for kitchen products and this is another of our favorites. Its great for yourself or for a hostess gift. You can never go wrong with Alessi!

I bough this as a "cheer me up" present after a very brutal work month. This is one of those things for anyone with a hefty disposable income and who has everything else in life, because why else would you need a $40 salt and pepper shaker made out of plastic and magnets. That being said, having it sit on my dining table and looking at me while I eat is pretty fun. If you put one of the little guys on the base and another one of the wire pole, they swing around trying to catch each other. It's VERY cute. It is though, extremely small, you can only fill the transparent backside with salt and pepper, which is kind of irritating because it seems like you would be just refilling these things all the time. However, plus point is that even on it's side, the little guys don't seem to spill anything. I got the black and white one which has a nice minimak aesthetic to it, but the colored one would add a nice pop of color to your dining table!

Bought as part of a wedding present. I have have had these for 20 years. Everyone loves playing with them at the dinner table. Love Alessi.

Gave as a present

The salt and pepper shakers are cute and playful and would definitely add a touch of whimsy to the kitchen, but I would expect better quality for a simple salt and pepper set at this price point. The pepper figure arrived with rusted magnets on the “feet” right out of the box. Sadly these are going back.
