A flexible nylon strip feeds into a head, when pulled, closes the loop tighter and tighter via a tongue-in-groove ratchet. The tongue is metal (most of the cheaper ones are plastic) so when this is cinched down, it's very unlikely the catch will give way. These are much higher quality than the kind you would generally find in a local hardware store. We exclusively use these to hold runs of cables together in very expensive installations around the world. Also note that this particular product is UV resistant, so they can be used outside. **Q: Where to get a 10, 12, 0r 14 inch long, and around 2.40mm width tie rap? Are how to tell how the size works?
