A guide to the well-beaten path.
There is SOOO much more to France than what is in this book...but I guess this is a pretty good start. If you want off the beaten path, maybe give this one a pass. That said, there are some lovely drives in here. You'll just be enjoying them with a lot of other tourists.

Easy to follow and plan your trip
One of the best guidebooks I have ever used! It was laid out in a way that was easy to follow and gave lots of options. Using this book we planned an excellent trip in the Dordogne region of France.

Simply, grab the book, get some snacks and drive!
Super book for travel planning your road trip in France. A well layed out book making it incredibly easy to read. I bought this as a gift for my brother in law and his family who have lived in France for just over 5 years and have enjoyed doing nearby road trips, but have been wanting to do some further afield trips. They loved the book and weโre excited to put it to use! The book has a wide range of road trips suggested from all over the country. A great book from a reliable publisher, Lonely Planet.

A handy guide to Frnace
It was great to have this book along the ride across France and the suggested journeys were great; we would not have taken them otherwise. But because we had a kindle version, it was a little more difficult to navigate than a paper copy would have been even if it was much lighter to carry. Worth it.

Valuable tool for planning driving holiday in France
Very interesting book with some great suggestions. We used it to plan a road trip around Normandy and found it incredibly useful. We took parts of several routes and combined them together. Good level of detail provided to help you plan what to do in each location including walking tours you could follow. Without this book we would have missed out on some real gems.

I'm Moving To France
Well not because of this book. These books though useful have changed since the early days of being a good travel companion, to somewhat confused incarnations of the original. This however has selected some great journeys to try, but of course the book would be 10 volumes if they could into the best on each of the routes. Buy it, study it, use it as a starting guide to expand your love of France. By the way a Ham & Cheese Roll is Jambon au Fromage in French at least remember that for your journey fellow Brits......
