Still the best setup I have found with a mobile receiver. ### ⭐ One Mile Range Isn't True *by S***I on September 5, 2024* Bought this as a gift for friend; the driveway is a half mile. Unfortunately, they didn't get to set it up until the return window was over. It wouldn't receive the signal from the front gate. Two people were on cell phones, one at the house with receiver and one on the driveway with the detector. Kept moving closer and closer until it would get the signal and the alarm would go off. It only works about 500 feet away, in a location on the driveway where you can just see it from the front porch. So, the one mile range is false. I'm guessing it would only work if it were a straight driveway with no woods; which kind of defeats the purpose as you'd be able to see incoming vehicles at that point. This would have been great as the wireless receiver would be so helpful when working on various parts of the property. I wouldn't recommend this product and if it had been installed sooner I would have returned it for not working properly. It is used and is good to know when a delivery is being made; but again, it gives only a five second heads up since it is so close to the house.
