Review: Works great with the EOS R8! - I use my Canon EOS R8 quite a bit and my photo/video usage is split about 50/50 with a slight lean towards video. While I find the LP-E17 are adequate for photography, for video they are less than adequate. That’s where this dummy batter power adaptor comes in handy. I paired this with an Anker powercore battery/charger supply and I can now shoot 4K video for hours remotely! This has become an essential part of my camera kit and if I lost it, I’d buy another. Highly recommended!

I use my Canon EOS R8 quite a bit and my photo/video usage is split about 50/50 with a slight lean towards video. While I find the LP-E17 are adequate for photography, for video they are less than adequate. That’s where this dummy batter power adaptor comes in handy. I paired this with an Anker powercore battery/charger supply and I can now shoot 4K video for hours remotely! This has become an essential part of my camera kit and if I lost it, I’d buy another. Highly recommended!

This didn’t work for me at all. Your mileage may vary. The price was so small it wasn’t worth dealing with a return, so I don’t know about their customer support. The event I needed this for had passed, so it just wasn’t worth the trouble.
