## Description

Description Sig Sauer’s Tango MSR Riflescope is a perfect addition to an AR-type platform, but works equally well on virtually any other modern sporting rifle. It utilizes a high performance 6x optical systems with low dispersion glass for a crystal clear sight picture and excellent light transmission. The Tango MSR also comes equipped with an illuminated MSR-BDC6 SFP reticle, which is composed of a precise, 1-MOA free floating center-dot in the middle of an illuminated 10.85 MOA semicircle. Directly below the center-dot and semicircle is a “Christmas Tree” of holdover points and hash marks, allowing you to effectively compensate for bullet drop and wind drift at extended ranges. Other features of the Tango MSR include an integrated throw lever to seamlessly transition between magnifications, and an Alpha-MSR cantilevered scope mount is included as well. Review: ALMOST as good as an RT6/Strike Eagle 1-6 with a superior value proposition - Sig keeps pulling value out of thin air by making probably the cheapest LPVO still worth a buy at its price point of $299 (if it's not at this price, try finding a Burris RT-6) and including a mountain (just about $100) of much appreciated freebies. I own a few of its close competitors and it punches just a touch above its weight class considering its costs: - Glass is clear and rather bright: The Chinese glass in the Tango MSR is not as good as the filipino glass in the Burris RT-6, but competes well with the Vortex Strike Eagle. Very little fisheye-ing and distortion across its magnification ranges, with good light transmission. On that note, comparable eyebox to the Strike Eagle on lower magnifications, but the RT-6 is flat out better in this regard. Higher magnifications are mediocre all around. - Solid build quality: Nothing to write home about, its as good as a $300 optic can get. Turret threads seem to be substantial as well. Has a decent warranty behind it too (Lifetime repair/replace with 5 years for device electronics), but not as good as Vortex's. It's a pretty hefty sight, I believe an ounce heavier than both the Strike Eagle and the RT6. - Impressively bright reticule with (supposedly) good battery life: Trijicon-ish inverted horseshoe with unilluminated holdovers, 12 brightness levels. Has been running for ages now on 5 brightness, but you just gotta remember to turn it off: There's no auto timeout on this optic. - Freebies: Sig has somehow included a cantilever mount and two fold-flat scope covers with the OEM packaging. This normally costs you at least $60-90 for the mount alone and ~10$ for the scope covers if you're frugal about it. The cantilever mount isn't cheapo garbage either: If you can stand the Sig standard logo/text spam it is a solidly built mount uniquely matched up to the scope itself by means of a leveling line. The scope covers are pretty bad, but a touch better than the bottom barrel ones as these actually fold flat. All in all, this is unbeatable at $299. The top of your AR might become a Sig billboard but this is the deal with the devil you make for a out-of-box ready to go LPVO at this price point.
Review: Amazing! But Cheaper Elsewhere. - UPDATE: A week after I received this and mounted it, a well known and established company started selling these for $280 plus $10 shipping. This is $50 cheaper. I should return this one and buy the other and get my $50 savings. Excellent build quality with .556 BDC illuminated etched reticle. The eye relief is excellent at about 4". The field of view and parallax are decent as well. Very little fish eye. The only thing I would like to see improved is the eye-box. Because of my cheek weld I have horrible trouble staying in the field of view, because the eye-box has no wiggle room. I purchased a .42" riser which raised the LPVO from 1.535 to 1.955. I found this to be perfect for my natural shooting position. I can probably get by without the riser but a better eye-box would help tremendously. The cantilever mount is a bonus and is high quality and comparable to the other brands that sell for 80-150. Took this out for the first time after zeroing in at 100 yards with a laser bore sight. Shooting at 50 yards, the first group shot 3" left and 2" low. Got it zeroed in with 3 shot groups hitting bullseye on the 10th shot. The turrets are tight and moved the reticle as promised. Very solid turrets. Shots stayed true to zero after 60 rounds using 2 different ammo mfrs. This LPVO is definitely worth the price and I would for sure purchase again and again.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Come on man... FFP or SFP?**
A: SFP

**Q: Does it fit to Ruger Mini 14?**
A: Will mount to any picatinny rail. You may have to purchase the rail and mount it on the gun first. Perfect for the Mini 14 though.

**Q: Will a magpul mbus flip up sight folded down fit under the objective of this scope while on the rail?**
A: I would suspect yes is that answer. The Alpha-MSR Cantilevered Mount is 1.535" from top of rail to center of scope.
Haven't mounted the LPVO yet, but currently have Sig Romeo 4H with a Juliet 4x mounted and that clears my mbus sights with absolute co-witness to them.

**Q: How would this function if i were to have a fixed front iron sights? does it cowitness? does tue irin sight get on the way? can it do 1/3 lower?**
A: I wouldn’t attempt to co witness. This will work without red dot perfectly. If you absolutely feel the need to have irons, set the up with some 45deg offset sights.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very well made
*by J***. on April 26, 2023*

So, this is my first Sig LPVO. So far, it’s quite good. For the price, it’s really hard to beat. Illuminated, tough, and already comes with a mount. All for under $400? Yeah, that’s a great deal. The glass is clear with no noticeable edge image deformation (such as “fish-eye”). It is a true 1x (normal eye sight) when set at “1.” The reticle is crisp and intuitive for usage in short to medium ranges (3-300yards). The magnification adjustment is a bit stiffer than what I’m used to with my Trijicons, but not so stiff it hinders in anyway. Now, for the drawbacks. The eye relief is not nearly as forgiving as a Trijicon or Vortex, especially at max magnification. Likewise, it’s heavier than a comparable 1-6x from those manufacturers. But, the Sig is solid. I’d have no fears of dropping this scope and messing up the zero. My conclusion; this is a heck of a deal. If you’re on a budget and want the most bang for your buck, you can’t go wrong with the Sig MSR line (we’ve also tested the Sig 1-10x and it’s a great deal as well). You’ll notice a difference in quality if you put this side-by-side with a Trijicon. The Trijicons are just better made. But with the Sig being half the price, this is a magnificent deal.
