Brand new and sealed, works amazing, so nostalgic took me back to childhood and playing it on PlayStation. Such a easy game to pick up and play a level, great for younger children too as you can play with infinite lives :) came next day delivery as promised

Klonoa phantasy reverie is an awesome package of 2 of the best 2.5D platformers that have ever existed, and faithfully remasters them for modern consoles. The switch version runs well, looks great and feels just as good to play as it did all those years ago.

Klonoa 1 & 2 play fine here, and they've carried much of what made the original games beloved in these HD remakes, but it does lose something for me here. A big part of what I really enjoy about Door to Phantomile is its utility of the PS1's hardware. The clashing of 3D models, pre-rendered assets and traditional sprite work, the synthesised soundtrack and fuzzy speech, and the level designs that its limitations inspired. It just doesn't carry that charm or purpose when reimagined for modern consoles. The team have attempted to remain faithful to what the game was, but it just doesn't click as satisfyingly for me. There are subtle improvements to the position of the camera, and it's impressive to see how well the in-game engine can match some of the old FMV sequences, but a lot of them lack the dynamism and expressive animation of the originals. Klonoa 2 suffers less from the transition to modern hardware, but I've never been nearly as big a fan of its relatively dour tone and settings. In targeting a slightly older audience, it feels more adolescent and specific to me than the timeless appeal of the original game. It has a passionate fanbase though, and I expect they will be among those who are most satisfied with this release. If you have no other way to play these games, this is a fine way to do it. It's clear that the project was approached with talent, care and respect for the originals. I enjoyed playing through Klonoa 1 here, but I doubt I'll see reason to come back to this over the PlayStation version in the future.

2 great remakes of 2 classics. if you never played either of the klonoa games, i’d say this is the definitive way to experience them, especially with them being portable on switch.

Klonoa on switch is exactly the same, the game does look a bit better but its the same klonoa. Not a bad game.

It's a little strange that this game doesn't have a NA release but it still works anyone on NA switches.
