I was worried that this wouldn't work on the dress I had just bought because its zipper was so tiny, but I was able to insert the smaller hook of the pull into a small hole I found on the zipper, and voila! There is a larger clasp type hook, too, but I don't know what I would use it on. The chain measures about 42" long, including the hooks, so it should work on longer zippers than the one on my dress. The only problem I had--and it was very slight--was unhooking the hook after I was zipped up since I had to do it by feel rather than sight. I expect this to get easier with practice, though. And, given that the chain and hooks look very sturdy, I imagine I will get lots of use out of it over the years.

I travel a lot for work & often never have someone to help me unzip a jumpsuit or dress. I bought this & am so disappointed in myself that I didn’t buy this sooner!!! I wore a jumpsuit & left this chain on all day with no problem. I used the heart clasp in addition to the “hook” part to secure to the dress so I could easily use by myself and not have to keep “restringing” the hook to the zipper. I tucked the chain in my jumpsuit & it was totally forgettable and not bothersome at all. I held the bottom of the zipper to provide some tension for zipping up and or down and the chain performed flawlessly. I highly recommend this chain for anyone who needs some help in unzipping or zipping up their clothing from behind!!

I'm on my way to a wedding...and am dealing with frozen shoulder. For the pass few months I've been wearing tops or sundresses that flip on over the head... But this is a special event and the dress that I'm wearing has a zipper. I can't do the zipper all the way up so really do I head to the church half zipped? Honestly I'm not even sure how I found this it was a fluke...figured what the hell I'll try it before I go incase it doesn't work I'll find a different dress? maybe? Well, it arrived and now I had to give it a try. Works like a charm...I'll be fine getting dressed by myself. Worth every penny ..so if you ladies ever have to travel alone and are concerned about that zipper this is worth slipping it into your suitcase.

My shoulder injury makes zippers a problem for me now, so I got this. It's great to zip up when you can attach/hook it to an unzipped zipper in front of you and then turn the dress around to zip up behind you. But when you have to unzip, which means reaching behind your head with both hands and threading a hook through a small hole that you can't see, that can be very challenging. The clip doesn't work well on most zipeers, just slides off, you really need the hook. So it depends on the size of the hole in the "handle" of the zipper and how long you can keep both hands behind your head. If you can't go there at all, this will be of no use to you.

Item worked the first few times but then after would stay on zipper tab so it was useless.
