Though I did shorten my boards to fit in my SUV properly. **Q: How heavy are these steel frames individually? Are they actually steel or aluminum?** A: They are steel. Not super heavy. I weighted them down with concrete blocks. **Q: What material is the stand made of?** A: I we'll constructed quality piece of steel with good quality paint and adjustability. I bought my second set since I have a place in FL and MA and shoot in both places. Here's a hint. Go to Home Depot her 1x2" strapping 8' cut in half, on for each side of the target. Get 1 sheet of 1/4" plywood and have HD cut it in half twice (2'x4') pieces.
