For the price this set is extremely good value. Similar 'professional' sets cost 3-5 times more. Used it already to re-thread a cross-threaded (damaged) bolt hole on a Ford Focus and it worked brilliantly. Taps are well made, durable (hardened) and accurate. Haven't had the need to use the dies yet - other than to check the bolt to select the right tap for the Focus but they appear just as good. At this price it's a great buy.

Purchased this set to repair a cylinder head on a classic car. The pitch was a good match and cut the thread well. The cutting tools are machined cleanly and have no but’s. The hand tools are a bit cheap and flimsy. But at this price range it’s accepted. Will be more than enough for occasional use.

You get what you pay for... these are cheap, and low quality. I bought these for specific sizes of taps and dies for chasing dirty threads. Cheaper than buying individual sizes, and I did not need something ultra-strong. Good thing I didn't try to actually cut threads... while chasing threads on some grade 5 bolts of various sizes, all the dies except one ended up chipping. I was still able to finish the job, since I was just cleaning threadlocker off the bolts. The taps work ok, again for light thread chasing. There is no T-handle for the taps though, which is a disappointment. The included straight handle is functional, but requires a lot of clearance, so I couldn't use it. I would not buy these again if I had known how bad they are.
