Exactly what I was looking for
I've tried other recorders, progressively in features (and price) and finally found one that did exactly what I wanted: - Good quality video and audio (without any strange echoes or artifacts). - Separate volume for source audio and speakers--which might not seem that big a deal to some. But for me I want to have a high "in" level, without the speaker being blasted (as tinny as it may be). The noise can be distracting and if you happen to be recording something you didn't watch yet (no spoilers). - A single file, not broken up into 2gig segments--of which I found I had to not only assemble and re-encode--but the program I was using reported "variable frame rates" and had to normalize the video first. - Lots of video input options. The others I tried were limited there (though I know that are many other recorders out there). - Easy to use with a single button to record, and stop again. You really don't have to set up anything. Can be used right out of the box. - Bigger screen is nice--but not a requirement for me. Just get a better idea of what you are recording (and/or hearing if you want)

Solves all of my copying issues.
The best, most flexible/compatible. If you can see/hear it on the monitor, you can record it.

AMAZING!
The only word to describe this device is AMAZING! I have very many Hi8 videos to convert to MP4 format and this product from ClearClick is a breeze to set up (it took me longer to get the box open than to begin converting my first video!). The quality of the converted video to a usb flash drive is also great! The larger screen to watch the video as it is converted is a plus. Transferring the video to my computer is easy and fast. Considering the cost (and risk) of sending my videotapes to an outside company to convert them to an MP4 format, the cost of this converter is a bargain! Thank you ClearClick for this innovative, easy to use, quality product!

Works Great but Drains Batteries FAST
Records great but the issue I have is that it discharges pretty quickly even if it's turned off. I don't know if I received a defective unit or what but this is thing will sip on your batteries if you plan on using it for something portable. No issues functionally. Just really disappointed with how quickly the battery discharges.

Great Device for Recording NON-COPYRIGHTED Video
EDITED REVIEW (1/1/2026): This system is GREAT for recording video directly to an MP4 format that is easily sharable and easy to edit on my computer. I have successfully recorded video from… (1) HDMI sources: Computer’s HDMI output, cable TV programs recorded on DVR, cable TV LIVE programs, and (2) RCA input via the MMC input port and included MMC cables: VHS tapes and Digital 8 camcorder tapes. Prior to this ClearClick recorder I used to record to a DVD recorder (which requires lowering the video quality most HQ video) and then I would “rip” the video from the DVD into my computer. That process was always a HUGE pain that took a LOT of time to get it into a MP4 format. And that process frequently failed. ISSUES: I have had some learning issues that mostly fall into the category of “lack of operator knowledge”. RECORDING ISSUES (not ClearClick’s fault?): I haven't quite figured out why sometimes the video from my cable TV company (Charter/Spectrum) is sometimes protected from recording, but to bypass that “copy protection” I have to downgrade that video signal to low resolution analog video (via an HDMI to RCA analog converter) and then the low quality video will record via the RCA inputs just fine. At other times the SAME cable TV video will not be “copy protected” and then ClearClick will record that cable TV video in high definition mode just fine. At this point I suspect the “copy protection” inconsistency is with the Cable TV signal. VOLUME ISSUES: Adjusting the ClearClick’s VOLUME appears to adjust the volume on the recorded video AND the volume coming from the ClearClick’s speakers. DETAILS: I have recorded lot of video and normally only use the ClearClick’s 7” screen to view and listen to what is being recorded (especially when recording from a VHS tape player). I recently did something different and used the HDMI OUT port on the ClearClick to view the recording process on my TV and the audio was broadcast on both my TV and the ClearClick speakers which was annoying because the audio from the TV was not in sync with the audio from the ClearClick. So I turned down the volume on the ClearClick when I recorded that 2-hour program. When I checked the recorded MP4 video from the ClearClick I discovered that the recorded volume level was too low to be useful. Luckily that was a pre-recorded TV program from a DVR so I can re-record that program. Camera TRIPOD MOUNT (¼-20) on bottom of ClearClick: The threaded tripod mount hole on the bottom of my ClearClick is deeper than the same threads on my video cameras, most of my tripod mounts that will not hold this ClearClick recorder. I finally found one table top type camera tripod mount that does work with the tripod that will keep it positioned so I can easily view it. ORIGINAL REVIEW (8/10/2023): This system is great for recording video that does not have any copyright blocks on it. Because of this copyright block on recording video, it did not record ANY video from (1) my Charter/Spectrum cable TV (live broadcasts or from the Cable DVR) and (2) my ROKU streaming service. I was able to find a "work-around" to record at least one of the programs that I wanted to make a copy of using this ClearClick HD Video Capture Box Ultimate 2.0.

Great price & great device.
So far, I like everything about this recorder. I use it in conjunction with a Lumantec VS4 video switcher to record multi-camera videos in a live concert setting. More convenient than using OBS on my laptop to record because it's stand alone and frees up my laptop for other tasks. Withholding the last star until I see how well it act as a doggle for live video streaming. More to come...
