Another winner from Wurkkos
Disclaimer: I don't possess the equipment or necessary knowledge to do a professional test of lights that measures actual light output or electrical properties of the light or its battery. My light reviews are only from first hand experience living with the light for a few days and using it in the million ways I need a light after dark around our property. The build quality of the HD20 is excellent. The body is shaped like most of Wurkkos other lights, and it looks just like its little brother, the HD15 headlamp only bigger. It charges by USB C and the port is on the back of the head opposite the LEDs. The USB port is covered with a little rubber cover that presses in to make it water tight. You can use any USB C cable to charge, even USB C to USB C. You can use the light as a powerbank too by just hooking up the appropriate cable to the light and your device. When I tried it it worked fine for my Motorola phone and I let it charge my phone up a few percentage points just to see if it was working. I ordered a Klein tools USB meter so in the future I can have a little better idea of the Voltage and Current that the lights I review that have the powerbank function are putting out. My time with the HD20 went really well. The first day I received it I charged it to full and used it while I was BBQing a pork butt on the smoker until after dark. I was really impressed with the light it put off. It lit up our whole yard and our 200ft driveway like day. It was easy to operate and find a less blinding and more useful level of lighting too. It has 2 LED emitters, one flood and one spotlight. Most of the control UI is good, but I'm not crazy about the control to change which emitter is on or to make both of them be on. I cheated and just used both of them on the whole time. I never felt like I didn't have the right amount of lighting with both of them on at the desired output level during my few days using the HD20 as my only light, and when I wanted massive amounts of light it delivered well. The only thing that could be considered a negative about the HD20 is it is a little big for this style headlamp. It uses one 21700 battery and it comes with a Wurkkos branded 5000mah battery. I saw a few of the professional reviews that were not very happy about the size or weight. I tend to think of it another way though. The larger battery gets the light a longer runtime, which could be very beneficial for certain uses or people. Ultimately if you are worried about the size and weight, it would be best to stick to an 18650 headlamp like the HD15 if you want a light with the output and features of the HD20 only smaller. In conclusion the HD20 is an impressive light. It has a good feature set, and a really good runtime because of the larger battery. It's not for everyone because it is big, but it will certainly fit someone that is looking for longer runtimes with this style of light. I'm personally hoping Wurkkos refreshes this model and gives it an sft40 led for the thrower emitter.

Another wurkkos hit
Wurkkos makes really reliable lights. This is my third from them. As a flashlight, it produces bright, clear light with good throw and spread. Which is ideal for a headlamp. The head gear is comfortable, and is not prone to sliding despite the weight of the light being noticeable. That's a good thing, the weight. It's enough that since the straps are not going to move around, it also won't bounce as you move. Only complaint I can think of is that the rubber is solid enough that it can take some effort to get the light in and out of the holder. Which ain't much of a complaint since it points to good durability long term

So good! But it broke ๐
I owned it for 3 years with occasional use. In that time I faced two major issues which resulted in deductions. 1. The wide throw burned itself out. I had it on turbo. I took it with me to my campground bathroom. The flashlight didn't feel hot so I assumed all was well. Mid business the light turns blue and then goes out. Unfortunate. 2. I was charging it. Mid charge I unplugged it then plugged it back in. 5 minutes later my mom says that she smells something burning. I go to the flashlight. It's too hot to hold but didn't burn my carpet. It smells like like burning plastic chemicals. It never turned on again. I'm glad that the board went out rather than the battery. Maybe this is a safety feature? All I know is that my flashlight doesn't work anymore. Even days later the smell is strong enough to fill my garage. I really liked the flashlight while it worked. I brought it with me for every excuse I had. The battery life and brightness were so good that I stopped using my shop flood light and just brought the flashlight instead. This made car repairs much easier, especially with the magnetic back. I like that the power button is on the end. It's easier to find than other flashlights which have the power button on the side. As a personal preference my next flashlight will have a smaller battery. At high brightness the light gets hot. For long periods of time you're best off using the medium mode. Battery life at medium mode is 22 hours. That's excessive. I went months without charging this flashlight. You're better off getting a smaller battery that results in a more nimble light weight flashlight. As good as it was I have to give it a low rating for its two failures. These are issues that can be improved with a better design. Some of Wurkkos other flashlights list automatic turbo stepdown as a feature. This HD20 supposedly has "(ATR) technology: ATR automatically reduces the brightness level when the driver temperature reaches 60ยฐC to prevent overheating Low voltage warning". Apparently that's not cutting it.

Fantastic all-purpose flashlight for the money
Bought this flashlight to replace an old and weakening handheld, but it has become my go-to all-purpose light. All of my previous flashlights were of the replaceable-battery variety, nothing fancy but a good variety including AA-powred handhelds, D-powered torches, small headlamps, magnetic work lights, etc. I thought this light would simply be a rechargeable alternative, but thanks to the included attachments and multiple light modes, it has replaced them all. The biggest difference is on nighttime outdoor walks - this light is far brighter (in the two stronger modes) than any of the rest, and has less of a negative effect on the color of whatever it is pointed at. I feel much more comfortable with it than without it. I use the head mount more than I thought too - at first it seemed to heavy to be useful, but I have gotten accustomed to it and it now bothers me about the same as my cheap AAA-powered headlamp while being much brighter with way more throw outdoors. Heat hasn't been an issue for me but it is noticeable in the strongest mode. I probably wouldn't leave it at maximum power for more than 5-10 minutes at a time, but this mode is so strong that it is not usually needed for more than a few seconds in my experience. Also, I expected that it there would be some battery life limitation due to it being rechargeable, but i got weeks between charges and all seems fine. USB-C makes charging a breeze. The only thing I would maybe want is to be able to attach/detach it from the head mount more quickly - currently it takes a while to do this and therefore it is more practical to just keep the head mount installed all the time, even when carrying the flashlight in pocket. No stars docked for this as I am not sure how to achieve it without making the mount more complicated and less reliable. In conclusion, it's a small-ish, light-ish all-purpose light that does what all of my other lights do combined, and costs only a bit more than any single one of them, and it blows away anything you could buy at a Walmart or a hardware store for anywhere near its price point.

Tough product
I use this flashlight on a daily basis for pre/trip and post trip on semi trucks. I also use it when working on vehicles. The metal belt clip eventually broke, but after 7 months of abuse. Charges fast, and I dont have to charge it as often as I have other flashlights. Light is very bright. It is awkward to attach to the included headband and it is heavy to use that way. I would not recommend it if your purpose is to use it solely as a head lamp. However, it has worked great for me when I needed one in a pinch and don't want to have to carry a seperate light. The magnet is strong, but you will need a solid piece of metal that is flat where you want to attach it. Downside is that the head won't swivel. However I have found flashlights with that feature (at least in this price range) tend to short out.

Little heavy but great power
I was a little hesitant at first with the size of this headlamp. It seemed cumbersome but i pulled the trigger anyway because of the output and battery life claims. It definitely isn't something you want to wear for 8 hours but its not unbearable or really uncomfortable. The strap is a neoprene material so it is soft and doesn't hold sweat. The battery life is phenomenal, and the output is really good for a headlamp. On its highest lumen setting the light can get warm and you can feel it through the strap but its not uncomfortable. The user interface is a little confusing at first but i picked it up pretty quickly. The added functionality of being able to use this as a traditional light is awesome. It also has a magnetic base which comes in handy for me more than i thought and one of the most unique features that i think more flashlight manufactures should include is that you can charger other electronics with this flashlight. That is definitely one of the coolest features of this flashlight for sure.

Only lasted about 9 months.
This was my 4th light from this brand. This one I broke after 9 months hard use. The feel, finish, and brightness of this light was definitely very good. The magnet on the bottom was very strong and worked great. the headlamp strap tore within a week. Don't plan on using this as a headlamp. After some drops, the glass lens on the light cracked and I had to repair with super glue. after about 9 months the battery was totally shot. Tried replacing with another battery but then soon after the rest of the internals started to fail. The design and quality of the light were fantastic but it didn't have the durability to hold up to daily use. I'm an industrial mechanic for reference. I've started using lights from the brand Coast and I've found their durability to be better. Not as pretty as a design, but the durability is more important to me.

So nice i bought it twice
Great product that uses a standard battery size 21700 Li-Ion 3.6v (5000 Mah) that you can purchase anywhere lithium ion batteries are sold, high-capacity - works for hours (haven't managed to completely discharge it), Durable - its taken a few 5-6 ft falls w/o issue, Versitile - removable from head strap & magnetic cap allows it to be stuck to a surface while you work.

Love this versatile, high performance, long lasting light.
This light is extremely efficient in using the battery and efficient in how it distributes the light. The stairs show is with both lights on in moonlight mode. So should be able to last 40 days according to the specs. The outside shots is on low and high of the spot light. For inside the house, moonlight mode is fine using the flood. Low if you need to really work on something or read stuff. The flood is amazing, really useful for evenly lighting stuff. The spot light is not very concentrated into a beam. It is more floody. In about 8 feet it gives a 3 feet in diameter spot with consistent lighting throughout. It goes far, but not as far as some more concentrated beams, I find the floody spot more practical for my needs. For walking outside, moonlight setting works fine. Having the capability to charge your cell phone is extremely useful. For the usb c to c cable I had, it could rapid charge my google pixel. The headstrap is nice. I used it to vacuum my car in low floodlight mode. It provided better lighting than my rigid spotlight. Very even lighting and showed everything I needed. The magnet is really useful, can hang it horizontally on a metal surface. The 90 degree light is nice, because you can rotate it to change where the light points. The downside is if you want to store the light with stuff that will get damaged by a magnet. The clip is very strong and provides a bunch of different clipping options. Two spots you can put the clip on the light, can flip it upside down, and can clip it onto stuff in two directions. I clip it onto my belt and point the light forward. Then I can just hit the button and it gives me light hands free, very handy. Uses a 21700, 5000 mAh, 18Wh battery. Is very efficient with this battery and can shine at good lumens for a long time. This is a very practical light. The question is, how much lumens do you need. This uses lumens very efficiently so you can get away with using the low settings. But even on the higher settings this light lasts a long time. My rigid spotlight looks brighter, but is useless up close. It has a very concentrated spot in the center. Too bright if you are close, and the light outside that is too dim to be useful. The light the HD20 outputs is very useful. Highly recommend.

Great 90 angle flashlight
Great 90 deg angle flashlight. I like the 90 degrees, it's confortable in my hand when searching for things on the ground. Many light intensities and modes for various needs. Enough power with an 5000mA 21700 Li-ion battery for long and lasting hours of use. Magnetic base is useful to stick around us on a vehicle . Head strap is also a good asset with this kit. One gentle warning about the magnetic base, DON'T stored it in you backpack close to your compass, magnetic field will scrap your compass.
