Just arrived today and used for it for a homemade chicken rub for my pellet smoker. Made it fast, simple, and easy to shake on about 4 lbs of thighs and legs. I love it. Lid fights tightly. Plastic is firm, not flimsy. PS - use a regular sandwich bag to cover and seal it for moisture for any leftover run. Works like a charm. Happy Smoking!

I purchased the shaker for crushed red pepper. The shaker is well made, but to optimize freshness of crushed red pepper, a shaker must include a closed lid. I failed to read the description carefully. For anything that does not need a closed lid to preserve freshness, I recommend the shaker.

Large holes make it handy for adding parmesan cheese. However, I discovered one surprising use: Handy to wash our beagle's dirty outdoor feet before she comes inside. This is the perfect size. Fill half-way with water and swirl and dry. Handle is very helpful. It may be too small for a bigger dog's feet.
