Hi George,

Thank you for your question. I would not recommend the cleaning tablets, however, you could descale your steam cleaner with the liquid descaler - http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0731HYHHZ?ref=myi_title_dp

Fill the water tank with part descaler/part water (about 100ml descaler to 500ml water). Below are some general instructions, however, I recommend using descaling instructions you might have received with your cleaner.

1. Fill the empty tank with the mix.
2. Seal the unit and turn the steam cleaner on so that it begins heating.
3. Allow the unit to heat up and stay warm for 30mins - 1 hour.
4. After this period of time, use the steam cleaner for about a minute, unplug and allow the unit to cool for 3-4 hours.
5. Once cooled, remove the drain plug and empty the tanks.
6. Flush or rinse clean water through the system, put the drain plug back in,
