FITCAMX Fuse Box Cable Hardwire Kit, 4 in 1 ATO (Regular), Mini, Micro, Low-Profile Mini, 2Pcs Each

I bought a FITCAMX Dash Cam to have it professionally installed. The installer mentioned getting the hardwire kit, so I bought that separately here through Amazon. I don't think the kit comes with instructions, but since I didn't self-install, it wasn't a problem. Works as intended.

Works as advertised. Auto does not have dimming mirror. Adding wire harness also also allows parking sensor to operate with out draining battery unless motion is detected. Then both front and rear camera are temporary activated for short time. Works great

This kit was bought to allow testing of the Fitcamx before actually installing in a car. As other reviewers mentioned, there is no instructions included with the kit. To get any information on this kit, visiting the vendor website is necessary. Even then, the instructions aren't that great. The kit comes with four pair of fuse taps, listing on Amazon have them for $10 to $15. What the instructions on the vendor does not note is which of the tips on each tap is going to the battery and which is going to the camera. This means you either have to do a trial and error, or grab a DMM to ohm out the connection. The kit work by providing an ACC, BAT+, and GND point. To get the Fitcamx power on, the ACC and BAT+ must be provided with 12V. Which is kind of weird. Logically speaking, if the ACC is what indicates the car is on or off, that means just providing power to ACC should turn on the Fixcamx. Conversely, since the BAT+ is suppose to provide power when the car is off, logic dictates providing power to it should allow the parking mode to work. But that is not the case. To get the Fitcamx power on, the ACC and BAT+ must be provided with 12V. To enable the parking mode, power has to provide to ACC and BAT+, then remove power from ACC. The parking mode does work as advertise. After enabling it in the Fitcamx app, putting it into parking mode, finally tapping the camera, it did start recording. To provide the 12V for this testing, just grab any of the adjustable AC power supply that can be set to 12V with a provided POSITIVE and NEGATIVE breakout connector. The one used for this testing is a Belker 45W model bought from Amazon.
