Question 1

What is the difference between flip6 and flip5?

Accepted Answer

Here is the difference between our JBL Flip 5 and Flip 6:

Flip 5:

IPX Rating: IPX7 (waterproof)

Bluetooth: 4.2

Transducer: 44mm x 80mm

Flip 6:

IPX rating: IPX67 (waterproof and dustproof)

Bluetooth: 5.1

Transducers: "45 x 80mm woofer/1.75 x 3", 16mm tweeter/0.6"

USB charging protection: Power up with peace of mind. The JBL Flip 6 offers USB-C charging protection. That means a reminder sound will alert you to unplug if the connector detects water, salt, or any other chemicals.

Wirelessly connect up to 2 smartphones or tablets to the speaker and take turns enjoying JBL Original Pro sound.

The external body of the speaker has a mini stand to avoid it from rolling.

Question 2

Can you use an Aux plug with this device?

Accepted Answer

Our JBL Flip 6 - Portable Bluetooth Speaker does not have an Aux Input, so no analog connection is possible.

Question 3

I saw on the official jbl website that this blue (?) color is on “coming soon” status. but it’s available here? could it be a counterfeit this one?

Accepted Answer

No, it’s not counterfeit & it’s 100% real. In the product description you’ll see that this item is sold directly by Amazon, meaning it’s not from a 3rd party seller. Amazon is one of largest distributors in world & their purchasing power allows them to stock up on inventory from various manufacturers like JBL. Amazon will essentially wipe out the manufacturer’s (JBL in this case) inventory, and as a result, the manufacturer will have zero inventory (until they produce more) while Amazon will have plenty of inventory in all colors, etc. Even I purchased the black version of this speaker directly from Amazon while JBL & other retailers were sold out. My speaker works great and it’s definitely not a counterfeit. While Amazon is a huge company, they’re also a reputable company, and because of their size, they have greater access to a wider variety of products as a distributor. My recommendation is to move forward with the purchase before Amazon is sold out. I hope this helps, and you enjoy your new JBL Flip 6!
