Just bought a replacement for my 1st Arboleaf Smart Food Kitchen Scale. Had it for a couple of years- love it, works great and it is very slim & pretty. But the top is glass (so slim & pretty). The scale fell onto the counter and top shattered! As in many little glass shards, some scattered and some remained stuck to the scale. But the scale continued to work perfectly until I bought the new one. There were many other food scales available- many cost less than this one- but I really like this scale :-)

update: the customer service contacted ME after my review to try to help me with my complaint when really I am the one who didn't really look carefully. They sent me a USB scale. I have been using it daily because I need to measure out some medicine at 3.5g and this scale does .5 grams. It is also a good size to fit between the sinks in my double sink but small bathroom but it is also big enough that I can see the numbers when I put something on it. My original review complained that the Black is not USB- at least the one I received is not and I really wanted to save on batteries as I already have a scale (but it doesn't do .5g). Original: It is good looking and seems to work but there is NO charging cable. Is there a difference between black and white? I ordered Black and i see now that the photo does not show a charging cable. WTF? Amazon should show this clearly that there is a difference. I don't really care what color I have. The whole reason I got it is to not have to use so many batteries! I already have a scale. I wanted to replace it. I can't return it because of tariffs where i live they will not send anything to USA.

I only wanted a nice scale to weigh the coffee gound for espresso shots. This unit is not meant to fit on top of the drip tray of an espresso machine, and I did not have that task in mind for this scale. (I had bought a smaller model to perform that particular function). This Arboleaf scale is perfectly suited for my purpose in that it sits low and totally flat to the table, has near “mindless” operations for its control, a large attractive readable display, and is instantaneous in its measurement. I really wanted a simple and automatic “tare” funtion - which this unit performs masterfully on the fly. The glossy black finish is beautiful - and the display contrast is large, brilliant, and obvious. Unit selections (between oz, gram,etc.) require only a light “touch” of the finger - as do any of the desired control functions - and honestly - the well-written user manual was a true bonus. This scale is so very easy to operate - and shows you only what you want - such that it is intuitive. Reading the manual for any device is always a must - but the logical layout and simplicity of this scale is pleasantly appreciated. The Arboleaf performs fast, accurate, and is extremely easy to navigate. It is nice looking too - selling at a fair price. The dual power choice is optional - but I personally found that using the USB alone is adequate, and a single charge will probably last for months - (so the “user supplied” 5VDC wall brick is not really missed, at least not by me). I doubt I will need one. So I highly recommend this scale to anyone considering a unit of its profile and capabilities. I have selected it as the “best in class” for my personal needs, (and even returned others more expensive in cost, after a brief comparison).

Torn between eating a three and a 4 star. The simplicity to sync to the app and easy use of the scale is nice. Taking the camera function and being able to look up food or scan barcodes are great also. It is also not heavy locked feature wise like MyFitnessPal or other similar apps which is nice but also not as feature rich. The downfalls I have found though is that is it very temperamental. If anything is around barely hovering over the scale as you measure or you breath out when your measuring it will calculate false weight and rapidly change the weight up and down multiple times and may not even settle on the same weight as it previously measured.

This scale is very easy to use and clean. The weighing bed is flat, and the display is part of the bed so it is super easy to keep clean. I had a previous scale where the weighing platform was a separate piece that could come off, and this scale is much easier. The scale takes standard batteries. This scale comes with an app for logging food, which I downloaded. Even if you don’t want to log food, you should download the app. You can enter nutritional information for food, or scan it in via the bar code. It doesn’t have a huge database of foods, but you only need to add things once, and it’s very easy. Here’s the really great thing about this app – say you have a food with a serving size of 50 grams, and that serving size is 37 calories, you want to eat 100 calories worth of food, you just keep putting food on the scale until the app shows you that you reached 100 calories, no math involved. The app is a teeny bit cumbersome, but worth the effort. If you are trying to limit your food intake to a certain amount of calories, you can get an accurate account of what you are weighing right on your phone (through the app), and you don’t need to measure portion size, just weigh it – If you are a baker and follow recipes by using weights, this scale does a great job, letting you zero out after you add each ingredient. Following a recipe using ingredient weight is much more accurate and faster than measuring everything out, and easier on clean up.

1) Rating of 5. Good quality device, with helpful (unexpected) free app. App was very easy to access and use per the provided QR code. Suggest more recipes on the app be lower in calorie, and that “per portion” calories be denoted on initial screen, rather than full batch. 2) Device is very easy to use. Very intuitive and easy to read, reset, etc. I like the shutoff after 60 seconds of non use, so no need to even bother with an off switch after use. Charging and setup were also a breeze. Cleaning is also simple 3) I like the convenience of having this easy-to-use device readily available in my kitchen cabinet to weigh food portions. I also plan to use it with the tare function when baking this holiday season.

Edit: Arboleaf contacted me concerning the defective unit and offered to ship me a new one which arrived 2 days after the complaint. The new unit works great! Customer service is top notch and I’ve had numerous communications with corporate regarding the original issue and their willingness to make things right. I’d highly recommend this scale for not only functionality, but mostly for the customer service aspect! Original post: The 1st couple of times I used this scale for weighing food items it seemed to work as advertised. However today (while measuring out items for pizza dough) the scale would randomly switch between the different units of measurement. Kind of frustrating having to push the button while trying to get exact measurements. I’m not sure if I got a faulty unit or if this is a known problem but I’m not too happy about it.

Great little scales. Although I don't use them in the kitchen, I find the rechargeable nature of them super handy. And they hold charge for a good length of time. I use them for weighing 3D prints and filament to see if I have enough left on a spool to complete my prints. Recommended!

Been going strong since 2023… This thing is fantastic. Quick to charge, very accurate, and the best part is completely seamless top so clean downs are super easy. A super versatile scale, She goes down to the .5 of a gram and all the way up to 20lbs.
