Great Quality & value
I had a very special plant that was planted by my Dad before he passed away, it was growing great. Then the one day I temporarily moved it, was not good. It ended up looking like it was all dead & had no hope. But I didn’t want to give up on it because it was special,I did a lot of research & looking what I could do to help my Aloe plant that was once beautiful & big, now dead, sad, hopeless looking. I said what the heck it can’t hurt to get a bulb to help it because hey it can’t make it any worse. But I wanted one that Didn't get hot & this one don’t . And Oh My goodness, to my surprise BEST money I have ever spent.!! I could not believe my eyes that this bulb brought my plant back to live. The durability is way more then I expected, I just screwed this special light bulb into a clamp on lamp I already had on my desk. I wanted to wait a while before I did a review to see if it would still work & if my plant still making it. I order light bulb & started using in September 2023 Today is December 2, 2024 and light is still working & my plant is thriving. Highly recommend.

Works for SAD as well!
I have some plants at work, and they don’t thrive with only the fluorescent overhead light. This light is very bright and offers a balanced, natural white light. I have seasonal affective disorder and having this one right next to me at the desk has kept it at bay this year. Easy to use and install-it screws into a standard lightbulb socket like a standard bulb. It gets hot, so I would recommend getting a lamp with vent holes to use it with.

Plants Love these
I have never, and I mean never, been able to keep an orchid alive. You get them from a store and a month later lose all their flowers and start to wither away to nothing. Until now! My orchid is thriving! Sure I know a bit more about plants now but I could be giving it fertilizers a-Z and it did nothing before. I truly believe it’s these lights. My pitcher plants and citrus seedlings also started to boom after being put under the puck version of these. Fantastic lights that I will be buying more of. Not sponsored by them, but willing to be 😂

Affordable grow lights
I've only been using these bulbs (10W and 15W) for a few weeks. They're a nice neutral color temperature and they give off a lot of lumens. My plants seem happy. One of the 10W bulbs I bought was dead so I'll be returning that but the rest are fine. I'll update my review if anything changes. I mainly am leaving a review to let folks know that the plastic vented housing of the bulb WILL BE HOT. Too hot to touch in fact, even after only 30 seconds or so. So please heed the manufacturers warning to not put these bulbs in an enclosed space. I'm using vented shades. I'm a little frustrated because I contacted customer service about how hot these get and they basically just said "that's physics". I guess I'm glad I got a reply but that reply is not helpful. And I'm saying that as an engineer who appreciates how physics work. So I had to do my own digging and I found a helpful article from LIFX (I'd post the link but I'm not sure if Amazon will except my review if it has a link) that shares the typical heat sink temperatures of LED bulbs. It seems like they can range between 150-190F or 66-87C. I measured mine to be around 140F, although I'm guessing it's hotter than that because I truly can't touch it for even a second, which usually indicates something is above 140F. Still, it seems likely that my bulb temperatures are in the range of normal. I think it's noticeably hotter than my experience because it doesn't have a domed diffuser like your typical house bulbs. These domes are typically not too hot to touch. Sorry for the long review but I wanted to give more helpful information to you all in case you get the same silly response from customer service like I did. TLDR; yes, the bulbs get hot within seconds but this is likely in the range of normal if it's below 190F/87C. I will likely buy more of these in the future.
